Early Years: Ciara was born on June 13, 2008, at 7:36 am. She was born in Limerick, Ireland to Maeve Gallagher who was 24 at the time. Her father left before she was born when her mother was only 4 months pregnant. She never learned who her father was, although she would ask on occasion. She was raised by her mother and when she was only a few months old her grandmother moved in with them. She got her first pet when she was three years old, a German Shepherd called Lady. She is the one who primarily takes care of Lady, walking her every day around the town and playing with her in the backyard. When she turned five years old, she started to find it difficult to be alone for long periods of time. She started to go to daycare in the mornings and she made a lot of friends very easily. When she turned seven, her mom and she found a litter of six baby bunnies. After a lot (like Major) of pleading and begging, she convinced her mom to let her keep all of them. She named them Daisy, Rose, Violet, Lily, Sunny, and Bluebell. She discovered her love for animals from the many experiences she had of caring for them. As she got older and went to primary school, she found more friends to spend her time with. She never felt short on love and friendship. She loves to learn and spends a lot of her free time reading and listening to music. When she turned ten, her grandmother got her a kitten, which she named Tilly, for her birthday.
Magical History: Ciara's mother had no idea that magic existed. She was never given any reason to believe that anything magical could happen, although she liked to believe that the fables and legends that she grew up hearing were true. As a result, she instilled that love of fairytale magic in Ciara. That's not to say that she wasn't terrified the first time she saw Ciara do accidental Magic at two years old. She had gone out of the room for less than a minute, only to come back and find Ciara sitting on their mantle. She was very concerned about how Ciara had gotten there, but eventually forgot about the incident. Ciara wasn't immune to accidental magic spurts, although they happened most often when she was alone and feeling anxious. She would find herself feeling nervous or upset and she would see things shake and shudder around her when the feelings got worse. She learned that one of the best ways for her to cope with those feelings was to be around her pets or her family and friends, so by the time she was eight she was able to recognize when she started feeling anxious and she would leave the situation before her magic displayed itself more seriously. She didn't realize that she was causing the movements around her, but she always felt different from the other kids her age. She still managed to become friends with them, but she would sometimes see people in odd-looking clothes that no one else seemed to see. When she turned eleven and got her Hogwarts letter she was ecstatic. She was bouncing off the walls and she couldn't stop smiling. She was excited to learn about all the things magic had to offer but was nervous to leave her family and friends while she was away at school.
Diagon Alley: When she went shopping for her school supplies she was most excited to get her books and her wand. She went to Ollivander's first, which proved to be a long trip. After trying the first three wands, she was worried that there had been a mistake and that she wasn't really a witch, but when her wand chose her, she felt an instant connection to it. They went to the Flourish and Blotts next, which also took a long time, but for a different reason. She found all her school books right away but got so distracted by the amazing displays and the different types of books that she nearly got lost (multiple times). After that, they went to Madam Malkins to get her robes, which was fairly quick before heading to Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. The number of young witches and wizards running around the shop was huge, and Ciara found herself both amused and enthralled by the idea of magical tricks and pranks. They went to get the rest of her supplies without many incidences, aside from when she spilled ice cream on herself, which she quickly learned could be easily fixed by a kind, skilled witch who happened to walk past at that moment.
