I Can't Live Up To You
Camille stood in front of the trophy case silently. In fact, she was so still that one might look right past her at first before coming to realize that she was there. The Quidditch trophies glistened hazily in the low light. Their soft glow shone in the irises of Camille's deep brown eyes. Slowly, the girl who was usually friendly and cheerful reached up and solemnly touched the tips of her fingers ever so gently against the glass. It was cool against her hand as she took a deep breath and pressed a bit closer. Now she could closely see one of the trophies that looked rather old. The golden finish was slightly worn, and the wood that had been carefully polished was turning worn. However, the plate that held the inscribed words was still visible. Her eyes flickered over them
Camille pressed her lips together as her eyes obsessively flickered over the words. Her fingers pulled away from the glass, allowing her arm dropped limply at her side.
She took a slow breath and spoke. "I'm sorry, Dad. I can't live up to you. I can't. And I'm sorry, but..." She paused and closed her eyes. "I promise that I will try." Her voice dropped and ended in a whisper.

I Can't Live Up To You
@Camille Eve
The Trophy Room was a place to relive past glories. It was also a place to mourn. At least for a young Slytherin named Koko Riddle, it was. It was a place to mourn her parents and perhaps the only trace left: Estella Riddle. She had been a Chaser on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team before her untimely death.
Koko was only standing, looking at a trophy, when she heard a whisper behind her. She looked and then saw another Slytherin. "W-what are you doing here?" It came out sharply, but she honestly didn't care. They golden-eyed Slytherin betrayed no apparent emotion, but if one had the skill to look deep enough, they would see a small bit of fear. What if this girl was a prefect that Koko hadn't seen before? What if this girl would notice her knife and report her? Koko took a moment to make sure the knife was still hidden in her robes before truly facing the other girl.
"All I am doing is visiting a trophy belonging to a relative, so what brings you to this mournful place?" Koko was talking weird. She did it often, but not usually to people her own age. She just hoped that the other Slytherin wouldn't notice...

I Can't Live Up To You
"W-what are you doing here?" Camille whipped around suddenly at the sound of another voice. It startled her terribly, especially when she thought that she was the only one in the room.
She saw the other girl standing not too far away from her. A quick once over revealed the Slytherin crest on her robes. The girl did look familiar... from just around the Common Room perhaps. "I-I..." she stammered quietly. She was sure the other girl didn't hear it, and she was certain of it when the she spoke up again.
"All I am doing is visiting a trophy belonging to a relative, so what brings you to this mournful place?" Mournful. A unique word, and Camille found it appropriate for her situation. However, she wasn't mourning another person, so to speak, as much as she was herself.
"Oh. My father's trophy," she answered poorly. The sudden appearance of the girl still was in her mind. How long has she been there? she wondered. As her eyes scanned the girl again, they caught on something beneath her robes. A knife! She did her best not to react, but her eyes couldn't help but widen. Why would she need to carry a knife with her when she has a wand?

I Can't Live Up To You
Koko's eyes narrowed as the other snake's facial expression changed. Of course she would be suspicious at first, especially once she noticed silver reflecting off of the other girl's eyes. Koko's lips twisted into a scowl, but she said nothing about the other girl's epiphany of Koko having a knife. So what? She could have forgotten it in the Great Hall!
Koko let her fingers touch the glass longingly. Her aunt... Koko wasn't a Chaser, but maybe one day she would get a trophy for best beater, or in her case, Whacker. She would become known as Koko "Whacker" Riddle. Of course, no one knew of her secret dreams, so... Yeah. No one would know about that embarrassing part of her. She missed her father, missed her mother, but had she ever really known them? No. She hadn't. So what was there to miss?
"Your father's trophy? I see we are here for something. Tell me, what did your father receive the trophy for?" It seemed about time for a good story. Koko could use some entertainment to make a break from the somber mood. "Also, would you mind telling me your name?" Koko asked, the scowl still ever-so-present. She didn't know if she could trust this person with anything, so she wouldn't say anything more. Her golden eyes darted around the room, checking for escape routes - but just in case. She wouldn't jump out a window unless her life was in jeopardy.
ReducioI'm so sorry for the short response! I've been a little busy IRL, and I will give you more to work with next time!
