When I'm Gone  Open   Closed

Winter break was over and so the time for returning to Hogwarts was upon the little girl with blue hair sitting in an empty cabin. The train had only just left, so plenty of students were still walking the halls trying to find somewhere to sit. Elena stuck the trolley door open and put up a note proclaiming: Please Join In!

The girl then sat on the floor just below the window, then grabbed the empty cup from a sticky treat she'd gotten herself and cleaned out. She'd been planning this for days, after all. A little stack of cups was upside down in the cup holder with another note on it: Cups Are Here If You Want Them!

Elena started to click the cup on the floor, then clapped, and repeated the process in a rythmic fashion. After a moment she began to sing, "I got my ticket for the long way ‘round, two bottle ‘a whiskey for the way. And I sure would like some sweet company, and I’m leaving tomorrow, wha-do-ya say?"

"When I'm gone, when I'm gone, you're gonna miss me when I'm gone!" Elena kept clicking the cup, fully hoping some people would want to at join in.
I'm wanting to see how many people I can get to join in! It's the train back from Winter Break so don't worry if you already have a train thread!

While the train ride to Winter Break had been lousy, she was determined to make the one back to school even better. Walking on Platfrom Nine and Three-Quarters, the girl's hands were clasped nervously in front of her, but she still strode with a form of confidence. She would finally be free.

She let her thoughts slide away from her home issues, and she boarded the train. Koko's golden eyes scanned the area. Her caramel hair was down, and instead of her Slytherin robes, she wore a red sweater and black leggings. She looked casual, especially for a pure-blood like herself. She walked the aisle, trying to find a compartment, and then she saw a note on the door of one, proclaiming for her to please enter.

Of course she did.

Koko smiled, seeing a blue-haired girl singing. So many cups!! Koko walked over to the table and picked up a cup, and then she sat down near the girl. "You're gonna miss me by my hair, you're gonna miss me everywhere, o-oh," She paused for a moment, and then she continued, still smiling. "You're gonna miss me when I'm gone."

The cup pattern had thrown her off a bit, but she ended up fixing her rhythm mix-up fairly quickly. She wasn't very good at this; she'd never heard of it, so she was improvising. Improv was something that she was wonderful at, and she enjoyed doing it. She waved hello at the other girl, noticing her.

OOC: I'm hoping another person will post, then I will.

Please, RP gods, let people do a very short reply so I can have a happy time.

Shannon shrieked down the walkway, arms in the air, her heart racing nearly as fast as her legs. She dodged under and around people, squeezing out ‘sorry’ as she went pass but the excitement was so overwhelming! She was heading back to Hogwarts, back to the warmth, the coziness, the friends—wait. Back to the homework.

Like a balloon deflating, Shannon shoulders sagged as she leaned against a wall, her arms wrapped loosely around her winter coat. Her blond bangs, freshly cut, somehow still covered her eyes, and she blew them out her face. Homework, that's what she'd be going back to. She sighed, but a smile began to stretch across her face. Friends, she thought. That's who I'll be seeing.

Leaping up, she skipped down the walkway, managing not to trip over any luggage or the legs of Slytherins, waiting to see her fallen demise. She wondered if Marla had gone home for the holidays, maybe she'd see on her the train. Shannon peeked to compartments here and there, but she wasn't that upset about not seeing Marla, they'd meet up some other time. She was just glad to be back.

Getting out of her breath, her skips turned into a slow walk. It seemed to still be fast enough that a flash of blue was all she saw for a moment. Pausing, Shannon backpedaled until she stood in front of a door. Wide-eyed, Shannon waved. “Hey—just wanted to say that I like the hair—oh!”

There were two girls inside, and one of them—the blue haired one—was doing some sort of hand-clap-cup game. Shannon took a step inside, eyeing the contents of the room, from the welcoming sign to the cups. Maybe she would stay in here, it was pretty inviting.

She had her long blond hair in two low pigtails, combed down straight as it would be until the humidity hit it. She wore her Hufflepuff robes but old sneakers could be seen underneath, and candy-cane patterned socks.

She grinned, going over and sitting down. The girls could sing well, Shannon wondered if she should join, but she didn't want to be too intrusive. Instead she just nodded along, mouthing words. At some point, she asked, “Who put that sign up there...?” She pointed at it with her thumb.

People started to trickle in, so far the flash mob had three people including Elena herself, that's not bad. Koko Riddle was among them, and Elena smiled brightly at her friend, giving her a small wave. It was good to see her again, even if they didn't talk that often. Then someone else appeared but Elena hadn't met her before, the girl didn't appear to know if she should join in the song.

While the cup solo happened Elena did a bit of talking, "Hi Koko!".

Elena smiled at the newcomer, "Thank you so much! I do love my bright colours, as for the sign I did! Come on in, grab a cup, it's meant to be like a flash mob. Sorta. I'm Elena."

"I’ve got my ticket for the long way ‘round, the one with the prettiest of views. It's got mountains it's got rivers, it's got sights to see you shiver. But it sure would be prettier with you!" Elena was planning on singing an extended one, so it would go for more than a few minutes, just some homemade lyrics, which was on a sign sticky-taped to the window. Hopefully it wouldn't fall off in the conceivable future.
