Poppy was born on May 6th, 2007 in Oxford, England to muggles Lucy and Harold Stagheart. She had one older sister, Leah, who was nine years old when her sister was born. Lucy and Harold worked within the English government, so they were always working.
Not long after Poppy's birth, the family of four moved to Tansor, England, where they lived a relatively normal life until July of 2015, when after a nasty trip down the flight of stairs in their family home turned into something bigger than life. When Poppy hit the final step before hitting the ground, she let out a scream that shattered all the glass in their home, caused furniture to rattle, and the paint to peel off the walls. At first, she was seen as a danger to the family, but after breaking down in tears from the fear, Poppy was given the support she needed from her family.
However, one summer later, in late August 2016, Leah disappeared. Due to the mysterious and suspicious circumstances surrounding her sister's sudden absence, speculation began to circle within the family and the community that a foreign government had something to do with it, as Poppy's parents were both high-clearance employees within England's government.
For the next three years, her parents hired investigator after investigator to find something, just a hint of where Leah went, when this past year something finally appeared. A document surfaced which stated that the intended target of Leah's now seeming kidnapping was Poppy herself. Because of this, her parents decided that now since was old enough to be sent away to school, she would be safer within Hogwarts' walls to learn about her abilities and stay out of the hands of those who wish to use her for evil.
