Wandering the grounds
Luna was walking through the grounds, enjoying the weather. The weather was sunny, with a pleasant breeze, so as soon as Luna had finished her homework she had come outside to... Well she wasn’t sure what exactly. Hopefully she would meet some friends. She hadn’t any friends so far, so she was eager to meet people as a first year. She walked past the lake, which was crowded with people sitting on the banks, and headed for an emptier part of the grounds. It was too noisy with so many people in Luna’s opinion.
Luna settled for a tree. She sat down, leaning against the trunk of a giant oak tree, whose leaves gave her shade like a canopy above her. Luna looked around, and was distracted by a bird making a nest. She didn’t even notice someone coming next to her, until they sat down. Startled out of her trance, Luna snapped to attention. “Oh, um hi, I’m Luna. What’s your name?” Luna asked, not sure if she was being too forward by asking for their name so suddenly. She glanced at the person, squinting because of the sun in her eyes, so she couldn’t see the person properly. She smiled, nervously.

Wandering the grounds
Mason had just finished exploring the Hufflepuff common room. He decided to go out onto the grounds to see what awaited him. Once he got outside, it was very crowded and him not being used to so many people, got very anxious and overwhelmed.
Mason looked around to see if there was somewhere with fewer people. Everywhere seemed to have at least 10 students or more, talking and having fun. Finally, Mason spotted a girl sitting underneath a tree alone and decided to sit next to her. He made his way over, navigating between people. Finally, he got to the girl.
Mason sat down and pulled out his journal, observing the things around him as he started a new page. Mason put a label at the top of his page and wrote "Hogwarts Grounds". Mason started to sketch his surroundings and write about what he saw in the busy place. He was lost in a world of his own with only his thoughts when suddenly the girl next to him spoke up. She told him her name was Luna, then asked him what his name was. Mason sat there silently for a moment. Then said politely, "Oh, hello. I'm Mason."
