Dear Mom and Dad,
I am excited to tell you that I have been sorted into Ravenclaw, just like dad! Sorry, mom, hope you aren't too disappointed. You will never guess who the dorm I am staying in is named after! None other than Laverne de Montmorency, herself. To say the least, I am excited beyond years to be in the house that she was in and dad of course!
I met some new people on the train. I will tell you all about that another time, I don't have much time to write today as classes will be starting and there are so many new books to read in the library. I didn't meet my dormmates last night because I fell asleep pretty early. I will let you know all about them soon as well.
Did you know they have unlimited mangoes in The Great Hall? I can have as many as my heart desires, but don't worry I will eat other things too. I hope you both are doing well since I have been gone, especially since it's only been a couple of days.

I am not at all surprised that you have been sorted into Ravenclaw. I am proud that my daughter gets to be in the same house as me. Keep your eyes to the sky and learn as many things as you can. I know you will excel. Remember, part of learning is observing.

I would never be disappointed in you, my angel! I am pleased that you are a clever eagle like your father. How neat is that? You get to be in a dorm named after one of your idols! I hope you do let me know about the friends you are making. I can only imagine how lucky they are to have you.
Unlimited mangoes sound like paradise for you. Don’t make yourself sick on those! Have no worries about your father or me, we are doing just fine. Sammy is as jealous as ever about your train ride and can’t stop talking about how it’s going to be when he goes in 4 more years. You will be over halfway done by then! Can you believe it? You are one step closer to your dream of becoming a potioneer every day and we will always support you.
