Background/History: Dan comes from a Pureblood family known as the Palmers. His parents, upon realizing they would have a child, thought it better to raise him in the Muggle world, in the hopes that he would not turn out like certain other types of Purebloods, such as the Malfoys; spoiled, elitist, and an overall asshole.
Growing up in Dingle, Ireland, Dan knew nothing of the magical world. In fact, he was a late bloomer, and his magic revealed itself when he was 9. As he was at the aquarium, watching the otters, an employee came to kindly ask him to not touch the glass. This however, startled him, the aquarium's glass suddenly shattered, flooding the room, knocking the man over, and covering him in angry otters. The employees had to cordon the room off, mop up the water left over from the drains, and run around gathering up the otters.
A few days after his 11th birthday, an owl flew into their kitchen, and Dan panicked because it almost landed on his head. He read the letter it had for him, his parents immediately came clean with him, gave him a crash course on the wizarding world, and the various Pureblood families. After this, they took him to Diagon Alley, where he almost got whiplash from swiveling his head around rapidly to look at everything.
Hogwarts Activity:
Not much happened on his first year. Dan spent most of his time reading all kinds of books relating to the magical world. He wanted to learn EVERYTHING. There were a few things that happened though. He had his first duel against Arc Perscivious, and participated in a Quidditch game against Ravenclaw, making the part of Seeker for Slytherin.
