There's Always A Good In Goodbye  Open to 3   Cl
This thread is first come first server, I just need some friends for Oriel to start off with. Only 3 more people will be accepted in the thread.

Kids were flooding into the train from all directions it seemed but it was just some other kids coming out of their compartments. Oriel was taller than quite a few of the other kids but that was not much of an advantage. It seemed everywhere he looked the compartments were full except one which was positioned in the middle of the train. The boy opened the curtain to make sure nobody was in there and finally sat down on one of the dull red cushions.

In his hands were about five closed chocolate frogs which he happily kept from the platform. Since the packages weren't open, they were completely still but everyone knew if one was opened a brown frog would come jumping out. It was always difficult to get hold of the frogs once they were jumping about but the work payed off in the end when you took a bite. The chocolate frogs were a nice milky chocolate which never got old because right next to the packaged frog there was a collectible card which held a famous witch or wizard.

Outside of the compartment he sat in, Oriel could still hear the commotion in the train. He wished there were sliding doors instead of the curtains because that would make it more sound proof which would be convenient.

Eventually the sound quieted down enough for anyone to have conversation. The sweets trolly was rolling up and down the aisle between every compartment and the sweet voice of an old lady was heard asking kids if they wanted something.

Once the trolly came to his curtain, Oriel nodded with a grin. "I'll have a wee bottle 'o' the pumpkin juice, thank ya." He handed the nice woman a sickle to pay for his beverage and watched her go to the others. The boy took a long swig from the bottle and licked his lips. A hum of approval escaped his lips upon swallowing the beverage.

Just then, the curtains to his compartment opened and another child appeared. They seemed to have nowhere else to sit so Oriel shrugged. "Want to sit with me?" His voice was rich and soothing to anyone who might hear it. This was due to the many years he spent singing to the many crowds of fans.

There's Always A Good In Goodbye  Open to 3   Cl
[font=times new Roman]The Hogwarts Express looked way bigger than usual. It wasn't her first time seeing it but it could've been, with how brilliant it looked. Her brother called it First Year Trauma, but it was more like First Year Saga. She felt like this was the first big event—which it really was—in her long journey of becoming a great witch, and she was truly excited.

After saying goodbyes to her family, excluding her older brother, Owen, who would be beginning his fourth year, Cricket boarded the train and went on to look for somewhere to sit. She could just sit with random people, which she usually would've done, and made friends that way, but something told her that she should try something else this time.

While she was looking she found the compartment her brother was hiding in. She called it hiding because he was all alone buried in a book when she found him and he had the audacity to give her a disgusted look.

Scoffing at him, “It's the first day of school and you want to be alone? I thought you were popular at school.”

He rolled his eyes. “It's called minding my business.” Owen looked like he was going to say something else but the distant laughter somewhere on the train seemed to change his mind. His expression cleared and looked he studied his sister for a second before closing his book. Sitting up from his leisure position, Owen said, “The key to surviving is having but a little close friends, the rest you keep away with a mile long pole, because too many people are untrustworthy ‘round here.” He whispered behind his hand. “Especially yonder first years.”

Cricket squinted down at him with a bewildered expression but then she shrugged. “You're clearly deranged, brother.”

“You're the deranged one if you keep calling me brother instead of actual name.” He stood up and stretched. “Now if you can excuse yourself out of my room. No first-years allowed.”

He parted the curtains just as a small group of boys stumbled through the doorway. Cricket squeaked as she was pushed a little and quickly stepped out the compartment. The curtains were already drawn together when Cricket turned around. “Its not even your room,” she whispered, with an exasperated air.

Cricket made her way through the train, bored. She almost didn't care for a seat partner anymore, but something inside still told her to keep looking.

It was the jolt of the train that chose her compartment. She stumbled, and tried to catch herself, but where her hand tried to find the wall it found a curtain and she fell right through into a non-empty compartment.

Fortunately she caught herself on the ground, the carpet lessening the pain to a little sting and slight carpet burn. Cricket quickly got up and moved backwards, meaning to leave. She gave an apologetic look to the guy in the room. “This dumb train—well, can I sit in here?” She had no clue where that last part came from, she sort of meant to apologize—but for what, exactly, falling?—but now she want to sit down in here. Hopefully he wouldn't mind, not that she'd move if he didn't, anyway.
