London, an ancient city with a long history, some of the most important world changing events and decisions went on within its walls, and some, like our story, happened in the East End. Unlike our story, those events actually changed something.

There was a rustling sound in the depths of a rather impoverished part of the city, and a little girl with bright blue hair shot out of an alleyway with the sound of yelling following her.

"Puck get back here now!" A particularly loud one could be heard shouting at the blue blur.

But the girl simply kept laughing and put on speed, dodging and weaving between obstacles laid in front of her on the streets. Something bad would happen after she eventually either got caught or slunk back to the place she slept, and while this should be enough to drive anyone not to have broken the rules. The girl didn't mind the oncoming fall, because before Elena Jones fell, she flew.

So Elena flew out of the dark streets she knew and into the light bustling London pathways, far away from the smoky streets and dead eyed inhabitants. The girl dashed around corners, seeing mark after mark but only stealing a single thing, that's all she needed after all.

No need to sneak onto the underground when you have an oyster card, albeit stolen, but running away would always be difficult, especially for Elena. Trying not to think about Eliza, about her little sister, was proving harder with every mile away from home the train moved. She'd begged and pleaded and thought Eliza would come when the time came.

Elena Jones was wrong, Eliza didn't take her hand, and she certainly didn't follow Elena anywhere. Not like she'd promised, that's how she knew this couldn't last forever. Even as much as she wanted it to.

Kew was meant to be the most beautiful part of London, and it was, it was beautiful and small and felt like what country towns were described like in the books the girl had read. That's probably why she managed to stay there for a week, but like all things it came to an end.

This time not by Elena's choice, she'd come back with only one plan: to bring back Eliza to the place she had found for herself, well, for both of them really. Elena perched on the rooftop like an angel to save her little sister, and the little girl almost made it out. Almost.

"Puck, I knew you'd be back." Yakin's relatively handsome features were curled into a sneer.

Elena stood defiant in front of her little sister she managed to growl out a reply, "Just passing through."

Eliza ran around Elena and looked happily at Yakin, "We're going somewhere safe!"

"Is that so?" Yakin raised an amused eyebrow at Elena, then looked at Eliza with a smile, "Well, you'd have to go without all of us, and you wouldn't want to leave family would you?"

"Eliza." Elena warned gently, one last plea for the girl to listen.

Eliza frowned, "Well, no... I don't want to leave family."

"They're not your family Eliza." Elena whispered, "Don't you want to come with me?"

"What do you mean? They're family, Yakin says so..." Eliza's little face scrunched up, only five, too young to understand what Elena was trying desperately to tell her. The little girl moved closer to the teenager.

"Exactly, we're family, unless you're not family." Yakin reached down and ruffled Eliza's hair, gaze focused on Elena.

"Elena?" Eliza thought the world of Elena but trusted Yakin way more, it broke the blue haired girl's heart into a thousand pieces.

"What, no Eliza you're my sister!" Elena tried to say.

"Then we all stay together!" Eliza beamed at Elena.

Yakin smirked, "Great. Now that that's settled we should all go to bed, right?"

Elena's heart thumped out of her chest, and she glanced at the start of the alleyway, having to make a decision. Elena knew what family meant, and what her options were. She wasn't strong enough to take Eliza, so that meant the only option was herself or Eliza. The only person she cared about against herself. Everyone knows how this story ends.

The girl slumped, broken and defeated, "Yes."

And with that the girl walked into the darkness.

I'm weak my love.
