What Inspired You: I loved the idea of a character with lots of mixed and confused emotions. For me, it created a large array of options, and areas in writing I could dive deep into!

Relating Traits: We’re both ambiverts, we can both be “puppet masters”, we both love to read, and we’re both very awkward in front of new people.

How Do You Relate To Your Character OOC?
Character Name: Alexxandria Ramona Orane Séverin-Helm
House: Slytherin
Relating Traits: We're both extremely stubborn and ambitious; we stop at nothing to get what we want. Both of us come from a household that was less about love and more about convenience, which fuels our need to be heard. We interact without our friends the same way; it's tough love, sort of, but we stick by them at the end of the day.
What Inspired You: Alexx has been my character since about 2013. She came to me in the middle of my MCR phase, and she was actually named after the band Asking Alexandria. Though I have since left those phases in the past, Alexx was originally akin to my emo desires. She had hair that was dyed black with blue highlights and styled into a fringe, and she always wore black skinny jeans and band shirts. Though her style has changed tremendously, her attitude stays the same, as well as her tragic backstory. I merely morphed it a bit to meet the Hogwarts.io criteria. However, I would say that the idea of her stemmed from who I wanted to be. I wanted to be witty and yet charming, smart and eloquent, brave and ambitious. While, much like Alexx, I have changed over the years and even fit some of these tropes, and Alexx has become her own entity that I cannot change myself (I would even dare say she makes her own decisions; I do not write Alexx, but instead she almost tells me what to do). The more time I spend with Alexx, the stronger my connection is to her, and I think now it is less of continuously being inspired to write her, but more being driven by her force.
Extra Information: Of course, given that this is HiO and Alexx interacts with more than just my NPCs, she has made many of friends. Many of these friends also became my friends. Had I not chosen to throw her into this universe, I doubt that I would have met these people. Whether I met them on the account that Alexx is the character I decided or on the account of who I am as a person, I am unsure. Nevertheless, Alexx has opened more doors to me than I expected.

How Do You Relate To Your Character OOC?
Character Name: Serena Davies
House: Hufflepuff
Relating Traits: Most things actually: we both like to read, we both have distant gazes and minds, we both are introverts.
What Inspired You: I guess stuff from my own past; I was a lot like Serena is now for a long time: shy, always keeping to myself, stuff like that. I wanted to make a character like I was cause I wanted to know what it would have been like for me if someone had become my friend like what Serena is getting now.
Extra Info: When I first joined Hio I wasn't exactly sure what kind of character I wanted to make. At first I was thinking of making a hyperactive male, but I changed my mind.

How Do You Relate To Your Character OOC?
Character Name: Markus Alberdale
House: Slytherin
Relating Traits: Markus and I have an undying love for memes, we're both generally known as geeky dorks or are usually known to be weird by other people. We're also both open minded about a lot of topics.
What Inspired You: I honestly just wanted to play a goofy character and got some inspiratiom from ron weasley's dad. I liked the idea of an unconventional and not your typical slytherin kid.
Extra Info: If he had an anime face claim, he would be the protagonist of persona 5.

How Do You Relate To Your Character OOC?
Character Name: Illowy Magnard
House: Slytherin
Relating Traits: raised by single mothers in a "patchwork" family with little/no knowledge about father, both slytherin, both are pretty sarcastic
What Inspired You: Starting with the name, Illowy is a rendition fo my favorite name "Eilonwy" who happens to be a separate character I play on another forum, and Magnard is a variation of my mother's maiden name. I kind of took the person I know I was when I was about Illowy's age, and simply applied it to her, throwing in her own separate interests. The more I write her though, the most she becomes something completely different then myself and becomes her own. Which I think its fun and interesting to put aspects of myself or my background into my characters, and then watch them grow and become something totally different then I would have imagined them to be as they take on a life of their own. In a way, its like watching a version of myself from an alternate universe and what I might've been if I lived those same experiences.
Extra Info: There's something so special about starting a character so young and forcing them to grow over time. Its a type of character development very few get to actually experience since often people start their characters grown and while they may have a younger version of that character, you never quite get to experience their growth into the person they become in "real time". And that's got me so pumped to see what will ultimately shape my girl and I wonder if I'll be able to see as much of myself in her when she's grown as I do now when she's just a little sprout.

How Do You Relate To Your Character OOC?
Character Name: Isaac Ambrose
House: Gryffindor
Relatable traits: distant relationship with most people, likes inventing, likes science-related courses (Transfiguration, Potions)
What Inspired You: The truth is, Isaac barely relates to me. He doesn't like books, I love them. He'd rather run outside and fight with a sea-monster than be huddled in the library sipping tea, and that's interesting. He's the kind of guy who like to be involved in anything and everything. He gets mad easily. He feels a lot.
Sometimes, he's lonely. And other times, he thinks everything's perfect. He moves frequently, gets detention, and doesn't have a lot of friends left over, but hopes to make new ones. I'm not sure where I thought him up, or when, but I just had the idea of a sorta crazy kid, half-blood, just trying to be a part of something bigger than himself. He's sort of the rebel. A pinch like Leo Valdez??
extra info his name means he laughs, immortal one. I'm uncertain where he'll go at the moment as a character, but I hope that more exciting events happen to spur him on. I have an idea or two, but it'll have to wait for later years. Also, I'm interested in watching everyone grow in general, up to seventh year. How will things change?

Character Name: Saskia Nicholson
House: Hufflepuff
Relating Traits: Lightheartedness, tendency to make jokes in conversation, hides vulnerability in front of other people, enjoys solitude
What Inspired You: Since I had no idea what character I wanted, I first based her off on her wand which was blackthorn. When I searched the wand up, I discovered that people who had those wands were supposedly warrior types. I based Saskia off of other characters in the media who would fit that personality. This included characters from some video games, animations, and even old roleplay characters who were similar to each other. I made her based on traits that were common with each other, but I also made her have small differences that would set her apart from them. I'm still probably going to end up improvising some parts about her until I have a solid idea on who she definitely will be as a person. It'll also be interesting for me because I don't normally roleplay hot-headed people, but I look forward to a challenge.
Extra Info: I find it interesting and kind of hilarious that Saskia got placed into Hufflepuff. It's ironic, because the warrior type I based her off would technically better fit someone who was in Gryffindor, but it sends a nice message that not all warriors have to be brave and strong- that warriors come in all different sizes and backstories, fighting for different causes, and winning their battles in their own ways. Plus, it suits some parts of Saskia's personality and how she may grow as a person as she gets older, so it works out in the end.
