Character Background:
Allie is the one and only child of Miriam and Rosalynn Jones. As a child, she was always fascinated by the way that her mother would make objects float with spells or just a flick of her wands. Being an only child, Allie grew up to be a bit lonely, but always had her parents or her cat, Dina, to make her feel better. As she grew to be older, she began to take an interest in reading the books in her father's study that had tales of all the famous wizards and witches that had lived. She was constantly rereading the tale of Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived. It was such a riveting tale to know that a boy, not too much older than her had been able to defeat the Dark Lord. Allie wasn't too surprised when the Hogwarts letter arrived in the mail soon after her 11th birthday, since she had been surrounded by magic since the day she was born. Her father and mother, both posessing magical powers themselves, were over the moon excited to see the owl fly in through the window on the morning after her 11th birthday. Her parents and other family members had spent hours telling her all about their glory days of playing quittich, and feasting at the great hall. They told stories of how wonderful the professors were, and how much they had learned. Not all of her family had been wizards, but even those that didn't have magical abilities were still supportive and understood how much of an honor it was to be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Allie was nervous, but excited to be able to practice magic and become a legendary wizard like the ones that she had read about in the books her father kept in his study. She was looking forward to learning how magic was used. Allie is a naturally gifted child, and since the day she received her letter everyone had been expecting her to be sorted into the same house as many of her family members had been before her. Allie doesn't particularly care what house she gets sorted into, she just doesn't want to be the only student left without knowing where she belongs. Herbology and charms had always been two of her favorite subjects to read about.
