Choo Choo, On Our Way To Hogwarts  Open   Closed
"Goodbye, everyone! See you at Christmas!" Alex waves goodbye to her aunts and uncles and cousins and climbs onto the train with a big smile. She was on her way to Hogwarts! She couldn't wait to get there. She would get sorted, and make friends, and attend classes. She was so excited!

Alex wandered around the train. It was noisy, filled with students young and old, catting and catching up with their friends or making new ones. She didn't mind the noise, she had grown up in a noisy house, where there wasn't anywhere that was quiet. To be honest, she kind of liked the noise, it was comforting, as weird as it sounds.

Alex needed to find somewhere to sit. Unfortunately, most compartments were already full. She found a partially empty compartment, with only a few older students inside. She knocked and poked her head in.
"Hi, may I sit here? Most everywhere else is full."

One of the older kids looked up, a Ravenclaw. "Sorry, this is just for us. You can go find somewhere else."

"But almost everywhere else is full!" She protested.

"You can go find somewhere else to sit, there's always enough room on the train for everyone," a Slytherin says, rolling her eyes.

"Well, there's room here, why can't I sit here?" Alex asked, crossing her arms.

"You know, you are really annoying. Makes sense though, since you're a first year. When we tell you we don't want you sitting here, we don't want you sitting here, end of story. Now scram!" a Gryffindor piped up.

"Geez. I don't want to sit here anyway," Alex huffed, turning back to her search for a compartment with room.

Alex finally found an empty compartment near the back of the train. She sat down by the window and let out a sigh. She hoped that the other older students weren't that mean. She hoped she didn't become that mean either.

She brought her legs up to sit criss cross and looked out the window letting her mind wander. The sound of the compartment door opening brought her back from her thoughts. She looked towards the door where another student(s) was standing. "Oh, hi! Do you want to sit?" She asked.

Veronica walked up the platform, ignoring the disappointed look she was receiving from her mother. "Veronica, stay with your mother and don't act like a three-year-old. Remember who you are, act like you're supposed to, act like my daughter." She turned her head to see her mother glaring towards her, with her tanned arms covered in her expensive suit sleaves crossed across her chest. Veronica turned her gaze down to her feet, her hands instantly and mindlessly begin to fidgit with the hem of her robes.

As they approached the train, Veronica was stopped by her mother's bony hand on her shoulder. "Remember what I told you. Remember to hold your head up high." She forced Veronica to turn and face her. Veronica's mother lifted her chin with a thin and boney finger. "Keep my lessons in your behavior at all times. Believe me when I say this...I'll know if you don't act in the way I raised you." You? Raise me? Bloody hell mum, Belle raised me in the states, you just paid for everything. You treated me as a mistake. So how is it that you raised me? That was what she wanted to say but what came out of her small mouth was something completely different. "Of course mother, I wouldn't dream of dishonoring our name." Giving a fake smile, Veronica said her goodbyes and boarded the Hogwarts Express.

She kept her shoulders back, but completely relaxed, while her head was completely held high, knowing that her mother could see her actions. She moved between the first years and older students who were trying to find their friends and sit together. The compartments were filling up quickly, and Veronica knew she needed to find a seat. A few more minutes passed before she found a compartment with only a single person in it. Must be a first year...has to be if they're all alone. She opened the door slowly and took in what she could see of the girl, chocolate brown hair, and a beautiful tan tone to her skin. The female turned around when Veronica began to enter. "Oh, hi! Do you want to sit?" Veronica simply nodded her head to the girl before her. "Yeah, if you don't mind miss."
