Safe Space
Not a big surprise that the Library tends to be a popular hang out and study place for the students. Even if doing neither, the chance just to hang with friends in peace is a common thing. Except this dim little corner that nobody goes to. Mainly because the books in that section are so old people find them boring. But, there are a few young souls here who come and sit there. Alone in the quiet little corner. Not many, but a good amount. How about you?
I quietly walk over to the edge of the shelf, and hide within the many books in the back corner. My safespace. Of course i've seen few others come here, but always one at a time. I like it that way, a few people aware of it's existence, but sadly not of each other's. I like to imagine maybe someone will come and I won't be alone. Sure maybe it would defeat the purpose but atleast i'd have a safe spot to share with a friend.
I reach over to one of the taller up shelves and jump a bit.
Dang, too high up. I hate when this happens, sometimes this is why I had a friend to come here with every now and then. I sigh and grab a book from a lower shelf and sit down.

Safe Space
Donny slumps into the room, heaving an array of thick, bound books. He smiles at the librarian, whom he is friendly acquainted with. "The usual?" She asks casually. "Yup." Donny replies assuredly. She quickly scratched off the names of the books on a thick parchment scroll. "Will you be checking out today sir?" She asks. Donny felt a huge sense of superiority fall over him all at once. "You don't have to call me that you know, I'm just a first year." He replied. She smiled charmingly at him and said, "Well, if it's you, than I must." She said shortly. They exchanged looks for a second and she slipped a pass over to him. He read, Permission to restricted section On the slip. He thanked her with a look and jogged over to the long awaited shelf. I was flipping through the many runes books and smiling as the librarian gestured towards the other shelves. I collected as many books as possible and slapped them onto the librarians desk. I was so happy with myself I didn't know what to do. "Thank you so much!" I exclaimed. I took the books through the hall and started to read... I read all night.
