Trophies To Inspire Envy
Location: Hogwarts Trophy Room
Date: February 4th, 2019
Time: 3:24 pmSome had a silver shine to them, some glinted bronze, and others had the wealthy air of gold to them. They were trophies, from Quidditch trophies to House Cup trophies. The room was dark, lit by scentless candles, and it was filled to the brim with trophies. They were all encased, but the girl who studied them couldn't help but be tempted to take one out and run off with it. Maybe to the Slytherin common room, where she could show her findings to some of her housemates.
Yes, a girl was peculiarly eyeing the trophies. She knew how much wealth they could amount to, and for a moment she wondered why a school full of runaways and orphans would have so much wealth in one room.
She was a pureblood. She knew that much about her true family, in addition to the fact that "Riddle" was their surname. This girl in question was an orphan, and in her own way, a runaway. She had a piercing hazel gaze slightly more golden, which, when paired with her sharp cheekbones and distinct jawline, could make her look very threatening. She hadn't changed out of her school clothes. Her caramel-brown hair fell down her shoulders because she was too lazy to put it up.
Her name was Koko. With a sigh, she glanced around the room, searching for a key, a nail, a hairclip--something she could use to break into a trophy case. If anyone came in, she could easily play dumb. As if she didn't know what she was doing. As if she were perfectly innocent. This pureblooded girl had stolen countless things and had since become fairly good at pickpocketing. Of course, she didn't count her other way of getting things as "stealing." She would charm them, talk them, manipulate them into giving her whatever she wished. Koko wasn't spoiled, not by any means, but she had acquired many things over the years. Many things that her adoptive mother would kill her for acquring--like a knife, to help with cooking and woodcarving, or a box of matches to help light the fires. She reminded herself of Cinderella, her two adoptive brothers being the evil stepsisters (even though one wasn't particularly evil), and her adoptive mother being the eveil stepmother.
Koko stopped searching for something she could pick a lock with, and instead she sat down innocently. A cunning smile spread across her lips, but it was one of knowing. She knew exactly how she could get into the cases another day. Just not now. She had heard some footsteps, after all, and once she heard them she had decided that it was better to just sit there somewhat innocently and wait.
