In the character information to the left of this post, it tells me that I have 8 galleons. I tried to buy something for 5 galleons, and it told me I didn't have enough money. Is this a glitch? It's a little confusing.

That includes the 7 galleons that you receive and spend for school supplies. The amount on the left is really more of your net worth. Upper right hand should have the actual amount of galleons you can spend
