Mia Shelby was born to a wizard father (Richard Shelby) and a muggle mother (Maria Shelby). She was a younger sister of a muggle Alice Shelby. Her mother and sister found something different from them, felt magic, and left her alone in the family. Her father was a non-social, quiet and strict person. That made Mia lonely and shy since a young age. After going to Ballet class and making a best friend, a muggle called Olivia, her life seemed to be a better life. But soon she learned that her friend was bullied just because she was black, and she formed a gust of wind knocking the bullies over. Her father, who saw this, noticed Mia's powers and taught her about magic. A few years later, she joined Hogwarts.
