A early present

Laura was walking around Diagon Alley just looking at all the exciting stuff after all she had finished her shopping of her school supplies. She had come with her family her siblings were all still doing their shopping. Her parents had come with her.

Then her father laid a hand on her shoulder and said " Laura we want to give you a early birthday present but you can't see it till we are there so your mother will cover your eyes and guide you ok." Laura was very excited after hearing that. Maybe a fake permission slip no they would not buy that for her maybe a pet she thought.

Her mother covered her eyes and guided her along the Alley. Finally they stopped and her mom lifted her hands from Laura's eyes. There was the sign and it said Magical Menagerie. Laura's hopes had been right about a pet.

" You are getting a pet," her mother said.
" Wow I want an owl or a cat " Laura said.

They walked inside and Laura started looking around. She could hear and see so many animals. She heard meow hoots a squeaks and she heard frogs and toads. She saw ferrets and fish owls cats you can name it even crups were sold here.

She stared and looked at all the owls. She walked towards a big white snow owl. The owl was wide awake a bit unusual for a owl since they are nocturnal. So Laura looked at it and stuk her finger in. The owl let her touch the feathers of the wing. " Woah they are so soft and pretty " Laura whispered.

She moved away from the owl and looked at the cats. Then she looked at the ferrets and all the other animals in the magical pet shop. Any of them could become her pet for Hogwarts.

She went back to the owl that she had stroked earlier and looked at it again. It looked beautiful and strong. The owl looked at her with it's piercing amber eyes as if to say Pick me. Laura was not sure all the creatures looked so cute and pretty. Then she looked at the owl again and walked to the counter. " Hi I would like to have that big white snow owl over there." The lady walked towards the owl and it pretended to sleep. " Are you sure darling, " she asked. Yeah I am sure Laura said. She picked the cage up and her parents paid. Then she left the shop and said, I'll call you Pearl."
