Favorite Class Closed

Matthew was elated. He had finally arrived at what he was most excited for. Defense Against the Dark Arts. Matthew knew that Professor Pendrast was an amazing teacher. He couldn't wait to learn more from this soon to be mentor. Wanting to become an auror, Matthew couldn't wait to learn how to defend himself from his enemies, maybe even learn to duel a little. All Matthew knew about dueling was the spells he had learned in his late night studying habits, (besides for the secret duels in the abandoned classroom on the fifth floor). He couldn't wait getting started with this new class. He had been anticipating it even when his father told him about it when he got his acceptance form from Hogwarts. His father had been admitted to the school in a dark time, and he had horrible experiences as a first year as some horrible professors had seventh years perform the cruciates curse on first years. Those teachers were banished to Azkaban, however, and Matthew's father had had a wonderful time at Hogwarts after his dark first year. Matthew couldn't wait for class to start when he walked into the classroom with one of his only friends, Henry Reed, who he had met during one of his latenight study sessions. They set their books down and waited for class to start.
