Irene was just walking around the corridor, a book in hand, hardly noticing where she's going. The book read: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Irene was deeply fascinated by the book and the characters. She randomly opened a door and wandered in, not even looking up.

She bumped into something; it made a loud...string instrument sort of sound sound. She jumped in shock. Looking around, she saw that she was in a room full of musical instruments. Shee had never heard of this room before.

Curious, she opened the piano lid and played a soft, gentle note. She tilted her head to listen, letting the sound quiver and slowly fade away. Her mood lightened at once. She sat down on the chair and started to play, smiling to herself as her fingers press the keys.

Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence.

She had heard of this piece and begged her mother to buy her a piano. She soon learned this and memorised the music.

She had completely forgot about the piano ever since she received the Hogwarts letter, being too fascinated in magic to care about anything else. Now that she saw a grand piano, she wan't going to just leave it there without playing.

Soft music flowed from beneath her fingertips, echoing throughout the room. It was soothing, peaceful, somewhat like phoenix song, good music is, she thought.

But she did not notice that she forgot to close the door when she walked in.

Long Lost Feeling of Music
Zara had been walking by, in her own little world once again. Something pulled her from that however. She heard...music? A piano? Someone was playing. She followed the noise and found an open door.

Her eyes wide as she entered. She looked around the room but her gaze fell on the person playing. It sounded beautiful. She stopped a few steps into the room. Careful not to make a sound. She didn't want to stop the playing. She watched the girls hands play the keys which such percision.

Once the girl finished playing, Zara couldn't help but clap. She smiled, she couldn't stop it from appearing on her face. She was so excited to hear someone play.

"That's amazing! You're so good! Have you been playing long?" Zara asked, a smile plastered upon her face. She couldn't help being so excited about this. She absolutely loved music although she wasn't very good herself. Her brother could play lots of instruments so she always enjoyed listening to other people.

"Can you play anything else? Any other instruments?" She as taking a few small steps closer to the girl. She hoped she didn't startle her. Zara wasn't sure if she was expecting anyone to come in.

Irene swayed slightly with the music, and was not aware that she left the door open.

Irene finished off, smiling, and did not realise that the last bit was faster than written on the music. She was rather taken aback when she saw a girl standing next to the piano, listening and clapped.

β€˜That's amazing! You're so good! Have you been playing long?’ She asked, smiling. β€˜Can you play anything else? Any other instruments?’ She said as taking a few small steps closer to Irene.

'Thanks! Oh, I have been playing since five,' said Irene nervously, 'I can play a little bit of violin (indeed, she had learned a tiny bit of violin since she read Sherlock Holmes), but I mostly play piano.' She said, pressing a few more keys to express her nervousness. 'Yeah, I can play a few more songs.'

'What's your name?' Irene asked, hoping she didn't sound alarmed. She never wanted to know if she sounded bad or good, even though her friends told her she was brilliant: she cared too much about how others think. She was scared of people's comment. But this time, she decided to ask: 'I...um, wasn't expecting anyone to listen...do you think if there's some point I can improve?'
