Ollivanders

I walked into ollivanders on a breezy Monday morning. It was almost the start of the school year, and I was buying my first wand. As I walked in, I felt the tension in the air. It was stacked floor to ceiling with wands of every shape and kind. I explored with amazement, not believing my eyes. The shop had an antique feel, almost as if somebody’s grandfather had opened up the shop on the 1950s.
“ Tessa, my dear, I knew you would be visiting soon.” I jumped, alarmed by the soft purr. There he was, Ollivander, I supposed. My first thoughts were rather immature, by anyone’s standards, the first was that he was shorter than I expected, about 4.5 feet, secondly, he was balding, his hairline looked like uncle Joe back in…. Anyway. Ollivander was a strange portly old man with a long thin moustache. He smelt like coffee, a rich scent mixed with lavender? I had heard stories from my friends about ollivander and how they had tried countless wands to find the right one. For me though- it was exactly the same(heh bet you thought I was going to say I was completely different) All the wands sounded different, like they had a differnt personality. The one with dragon heartstrings sounded mean, while the one with holly sounded unique. Mine was one that sounded, well cute, it was 31.6 cm long with acacia wood and unicorn hair. It felt like the perfect fit for me!
