Irene walked slowly through the corridor of the Hogwarts Express, trying to find an empty compartment. Everywhere, people chat and laugh, owls screech while cats chased them: the noise was driving her mad.

Finally, seeing a completely deserted compartment, she walked in and slid the door shut. Letting out a breath of relief, she put her trunk on the bench oppose her and sat down. She looked out of the window and saw valleys and trees zooming in and out of sight as the train moved.

She pulled out a book (Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them) and started reading, lost in visions of different kinds of fascinating creatures. She was most interested in the Thestrals; her mother had told her that one can only see them if they had seen death and truly understood them. She believed that she could see Thestrals, it reminded her of her friend drawing her last breath in the hospital. She slammed the book shut and pushed the depressing thought out of her head.

She gazed outside, rather annoyed, but soon became lost in wonderful visions of learning spells and performing magic at Hogwarts.

Then, without warning, the compartment door slid open with a crash. A girl wearing bayonetta glasses appeared. She had white hair and black tips. She looked slightly shorter than other people outside (racing up and down the corridor, and in Irene’s opinion, very childish).

‘Hullo,’ said Irene politely but rather dispassionately, she was not good when it comes to socialize, ‘are you looking for a compartment to sit?’

OOC: Malus please don’t ignore this! I know u didn’t receive the owl but u surely can see the mention?

The girl stared at Irene for a moment as if she was illiterate and then replied "uhhhhhh yeah"

She plopped down in the seat direct across from Irene spreading her legs so she took up the entirety of the seat even though she was quite thin.

"Whatcha reading" she replied in an accent which sounded like a north London, and south Spanish, and a east Brooklyn one.

The girl kept reading her book and Malus, not wanting to look childish or begging for attention took out a book of her own. It was a thin latin textbook from last year when she was studying it. Her schedule had gone into disarray when she moved to London, so she had not studied for many months. She could understand the book perfectly and got bored after 30 seconds. She took out another book, a copy of a serial killer diary on Manuel Delgado Villegas. It was not an official book that had been published, it was not even a copy.

Anyways, the position she was sitting in was quite uncomfortable so that led her to change postitions every 30 seconds. first on her back front and any other combination you could think of. And her book was getting boring.

Finally she asked the girl across her "Whats ya name?"
