Zero Attention To Class

Mercedes had been walking around in circles trying to find his class. He was lost in the castle’s corridors that stretched and branched endlessly, barely navigating the place by how big it was. He was scheduled to be in the History of Magic class right now, a drop of sweat ran down his forehead as he realized it was extremely late now that he had wasted 10 minutes without finding the correct classroom. Checking some rooms as he passed by, hoping that one of them was the room he needed to attend, he finally found the right class.Location: History of Magic Class

“Ah, here it is.”
Muttered the boy, slamming the door open purely from annoyance due to having his time wasted wandering through halls. The sharp slam of the door caught the attention of the class. All eyes lay on his awkward figure, standing by the doorframe with a grumpy frown pressured to give an explanation.
“Lost.”
He said without further explanation, eyes scanning the room before he found two empty chairs left at the back of the class. Without hesitation, one of those chairs was taken by Mercedes, he said no other words as he sat there. The last thing he’d want right now was to owe someone an explanation for his tardiness, that would be embarrassing. The class continued on after the brief moment of silence, Mercedes resting his chin on one of his palms as he had no interest in listening. If there’s anything this class is good at, it’s making him drowsy.
It didn’t take long for him to fall half asleep, with the only sound that woke him up being the sudden thud on the chair beside him. Another student had just sat down on the empty chair beside him. A girl with brown hair and eyes, with notably pale skin, was sitting in the chair next to him like a ghost. He wondered when she got here, since he didn’t notice her footsteps or the sound of the chair being pulled. She just appeared, maybe he didn’t notice because he was barely awake, either way he stayed quiet, unsure how the girl would react since she looked bad-tempered.
