Familiar Parchment
Hello mom,
I'm writing cause I thought I'd tell you how I've been doing since I've arrived.
I was sorted into Hufflepuff, and the dorm is so cozy. i'm telling you, everything is yellow, there's so many plants, and there's always a smell of baked goods. My dorm is so cool and the bed has a canopy. the canopy is supposed to be yellow, but it's old so it looks more like beige (which is good, because everything was a bit too yellow). I embroidered it with flowers with the kit you gave me. They look a bit weird but it's nice to do stuff on my own.
The whole school is really nice and I really really REALLY want to explore it all. there's a lot of places that I haven't seen yet, I dont know if dad told you but there's these moving stairs, an everything is old, but in a good rustic way.
The books in the library are so old sometimes I'm scared they'll just transform into dust if I touch some of them.
The food is also really good, and since the Hufflepuff Cellar is next to the Kitchen I can easily grab a treat or two. Until now my favourite class is probably Astronomy or History of Magic. From what I understood once I'm older I'll get more classes? I'm not sure if that's good or bad, honestly. The professors are also quite nice. I've been having some free time and I collected some flowers and attempted to dry them and put them on the parchment. parchment is harder to stick that paper but I tried it anyways.
