Cordial Cones
Lily wandered into the parlor with no real purpose in mind. She'd gotten what she needed at Flourish and Blotts, but her father had given her enough money that she had some left over, that he told her she could have to get herself something with. The original plan had been to use it to try and get more art supplies, but those had been a little too pricy. For quite some time now the girl had been just meandering around, but when she stepped in here, she knew she'd hit the jackpot. Her family was far from wealthy, and neither of her parents believed in indulging, but... neither of her parents were here.
She'd never been to a ice cream parlor in the wizarding world, though, and it was a bit different. Chocolate frog and pumkin pasty flavor, along with peppermint toad and Droobles bubblegum, were entirely new to her. A jar of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans sat atop the clean counter as toppings, along with sherbet lemons, apple rings, and caramel cobwebs. She was pleasantly surprised to see some normal things, like marshmallows, nougats, and toffe, yet beside those were fudge flies and sugar mice.
Not that she minded the variety, it just... didn't seem natural.
She readjusted her bag on her shoulder, and went and sat down at an empty table as she tried to decide what flavor she should get. Her tired arms put the crutch aside for a moment, a welcome change, while she thought. Go with something she'd had before in the Muggle world, or be adventurous and try a new one? She'd pretty much narrowed the options down to raspberry or chocolate frog, now it was just a question of deciding which one to get. Raspberry might be safer, since she didn't know if the chocolate one might jump at her.
