Edith has a textured, brown, chin-length bob. She's never dyed her hair before, but one month before arriving at Hogwarts she decided she should dye just a little bit-- starting a new chapter, you know? So she dyed a purplish-blue streak on the underside of her hair. She doesn't dislike it, but she's not sure she'd do it again. Edith is 4'6", which is just below average for an 11 year old, but she's sure she'll hit a growth spurt in the next few years. She has green eyes like her muggle dad, and a nice amount of freckles across her cheeks and shoulders. Edith likes how her freckles make her look a little sun-kissed.
Edith has been told she's not always the most approachable looking. She's not sure why because she tries to be pretty upbeat and sociable, but people sometimes get intimidated by her, she thinks because of her decisiveness, confidence, and bluntness.
Outside of Hogwarts, Edith tends to wear clothes with bright colors, and lots of stripes. She wants to become an ambassador to the French Ministry of Magic one day, so she tries to dress the part and be fairly chic, but she definitely doesn't always know what classifies as chic. It's always a guess.

She's friendly, but before being friendly she's goal driven. After a trip to France with her family a couple years ago, it's been Edith's number one dream to work at the Ministry of Magic as an ambassador to the French Ministry of Magic. She works very hard in classes to try and meet her goal, and she can certainly be a bit of a perfectionist. There's nothing wrong with being meticulous about your work! Don't stop till you're proud!
Edith is very sociable and makes friends easily, but has a harder time keeping them because she's very confrontational. She thinks it's good to be honest and straight-forward, but she recognizes that it's also a fault of hers because she does tend to hurt feelings sometimes if she isn't careful. Edith grew up in a happy family. Her mom is a wizard and her dad is a muggle. Her dad works as a computer science engineer for a muggle tech company and her mom is an archivist for an Arithmancy agency an hour out of London. Neither of their jobs are particularly interesting, but they make sure that Edith's parents can run a happy household and still have time to be a part of her life. As a family they often enjoyed going on trips together and picnicking by the stream that cuts through their village.

Edith's first instance of magic was when she was 7 years old. Her mom always suspected she might follow in her footsteps and be a witch-- they have a lot in common after all. But in any case, Edith was playing in the creek near near her home, splashing around under a willow tree when she spotted some freshwater eels. She was terrified and couldn't move a muscle. Gradually the eels got closer and closer and Edith was completely petrified, but the second they were within a foot of her they tied themselves in knots and couldn't come closer! She was so shocked, she ran home immediately to tell her parents.
