A midnight practice

Laura went into her common room to get herself ready for bed. But actually Laura had planned a midnight charms and dada practice. She just hoped no one would catch her. Otherwise she would get detention. She wished she had had enough money for a invisibility cloak. So she went up to the dormitory and got a lantern she also put her wand in her robe and took her homework bag with her. So that if someone saw her going to the common room they would not ask any questions and if they did she would just answer them with,"I am doing homework down in the common room." She was sure nothing would go wrong. She had planned everything perfectly and stragicly. When she got down to the common room she sat down as if she was going to do her homework. When everyone had finally left. She climbed out of the portrait of the fat lady. She made her way to her destination the abandoned toilets. Laura thought that it was the best place to practice with out getting caught. She would practise some attack spells, and some defensive spells and obviously some sneaky spells as well. When she arrived at the abandoned toilets she tried to open them without magic but they were looked so she used the spell they had learnt in astronomy. When she got in she was not surprised to find a skeleton there. She practised some spells and used reparo spells after that.

The school was eerily quiet in the darkest hours of night, not a soul to be seen in the corridors that were usually bustling with students and their senseless chatter. The newly appointed Prefect was taking her very first patrol, and seeing the castle so desolately empty was both strange and calming simultaneously. Ebony had never envisioned herself wandering the shadowed dark in these circumstances — she had never imagined herself walking with a shiny prefect badge pinned to her robes and being weighed by such responsibility.

Having hitherto seen nothing out of the ordinary, the Prefect turned to head back to the Ravenclaw Tower — until there came a sound. The distinct sound of incantation and spell casting emanated from somewhere within the depths of the night. It seemed to come from the abandoned toilets, a prime crime scene for illicit activities ranging from suspicious potion brewing to vicious fistfights. The toilets being dubbed “abandoned” provided a sense of covertness that seemed to incentivise students to break a few rules here and there, often without success.

Striding toward the supposedly abandoned toilets, Ebony casted a quick lumos as to allow herself to see the troublemaker more clearly. Indeed, there the culprit was — a young Gryffindor practicing her spellcasting. “You, there! What’s your name? You’re out past curfew — you will have to serve detention.” The prefect’s voice was not raised, for it never was, but the words were spoken in a stern manner. Nobody was to be exempt from the rules.

A midnight practice
Laura stopped for a moment when she thought she had heard footsteps. When there were none so she started practicing her spells again. It was really fun. She did not hear the footsteps of the ravenclaw prefect as she came closer to the abandoned toilets. She was in the middle of the repairing charm. When the
ravenclaw prefect opened the door and light her wand. Her wand light up and put Laura in full view of the ravenclaw prefect. Laura stopped immediately. The wooden skeleton was still half broken. The ravenclaw prefect asked her some questions she didn't shout what made it even worse thought Laura. My name is Laura. The ravenclaw prefect told her she was out of bed after curfew obviously Laura knew that. Then she hit the bomb Laura was going to serve detention she did not know when but she knew it was going to be quite bad. Her mother and father would not be happy if they found out. Hopefully none of her siblings told her mother or her father. She would most probably get a howler or something. Laura just hoped she would still have time to read. She also hoped she only had one detention.
