Undecided Story

Mentions: @Minju JeongThe subject was most definitely overwhelming to her. Nicole felt like she would doze off any second, all that she needed was a comforter and a good pillow that was soft. She had pinch herself to stay awake during the classes. It wasn’t as if she hated. It was mere dislike that was often strong. The homework? Oh, that thing was a whole different situation.
Her fingers flew furiously across the parchment, her handwriting going from a neat cursive to scribbles. She dipped her quill in ink repeatedly as she tried to keep up with the professor’s words. Honestly, unlike the others, this teacher refused to write notes on the blackboard. Her mind tried to process everything he was saying, trying to store the information away in one of her mental folders. But her brain had reached maximum capacity or maybe it was biased against DADA. She wouldn’t blame it if it were the latter option. She quickly glanced sideways at the Slytherin girl sitting next to her before writing her assignment again. “I’m perfectly capable, thank you.” Nicole said stiffly, not bothering to cast a second and more apologetic glance at the girl.
Her hand froze at her rude tone. This girl was offering help, and Nicole was treating her like crap? Oh no. Mother dearest had given her better values than that. “I’m so sorry! It’s just—I don’t understand this assignment.” Nicole apologised profusely before admitting. And how it had stung, swallowing down her pride to ask for help. She hoped the girl would offer to help her again and this time, Nicole would most definitely not say no. And then, they’d work together and Nicole would somehow manage to save her pride and not let the teacher bruise her ego.
A little bit of everything I love
