The Bored Artist
x x ![]() A mysterious invite, art, and the courtyard. What else could she have wished for? Lucille had only had to read the letter once, before she bolted upright and excitedly jumped from foot to foot. This was like a scavenger hunt, of sorts! Well, if scavenger hunts only had one destination and it was clearly spelled out, and your prize was neatly listed, too. Nevertheless, it was mysterious and fantastical, the two things Lucille loved and expected Hogwarts to be full of. And so she didn't wait, quickly pulling on her shoes and rushing to the courtyard, hoping the sender wouldn't have disappeared by now. Halfway there, she wondered if this was some sort of elaborate prank. Lucille wasn't exactly on bad terms with anyone, but she was a first year, and she had no idea about any of Hogwarts traditions. This made her nervous, and the little Gryffindor grasped her wand with one hand, although she didn't quite know a lot of spells she could use were this to be a prank. She gripped the letter tighter in one hand; it was proof that she could share with a professor, but did she really want to be a tattletale? No, Lucille decided she would deal with her problems as they came and, steeling herself, she stepped into the courtyard. It was calmer than usual, but the lack of people was replaced with parchment and art supplies, and one boy sat in the middle of it all. Lucille quickly unfolded the letter, stepping towards the boy. "Excuse me, are you.." she read from the paper "Evander Harvey Beauchamp?" She put the paper back into her pocket, shifting from foot to foot awkwardly. She was sure this was the boy the letter referred to, but could someone else be playing a prank on him, disturbing his artistic time? Although, judging from the parchment and pencils scattered about, he was the sender. After a few moments of just standing there, she decided on a better idea, pulling out the parchment from her pocket. "You sent me this? I'm Lucille," she said, smiling warmly as she offered it to him, taking a seat near him, careful not to move any of his things. "I have to say, this letter is one of the more exciting things to happen to me. I was sure it was a prank, but it certainly seems like you're up for some drawing or painting!" Lucille's trademark rambling was beginning to start, and she offered Evander a warm smile. | ![]() STA 7 EVA 7 STR 6 WIS 5 ARC 6 ACC 4 calming presence x x x ![]() ![]() |
