looking for stuff
After getting her wand at Ollivander's, the second shop Maya was looking forward to most was the bookshop called Flourish and Blotts. She liked browsing any type of bookshops and browsing a magical bookshop was definitely double exciting. Of course she wasn't here for any type of book -but for her books for the classes she will take at Hogwarts. She didn't like non-magical school so much but going to Hogwarts was a different kind of experience. She was waiting for this moment for years. She always knew she was magical like her father and sister, it was like a certain feeling she had even before she had her first instance of magic, which had included her hair randomly changing its color to ginger, she kinda missed that color.
Anywas, she was on Flourish and Blotts now, with her father and sister. She looked around as she was entering the shop, she saw so many books, more books than she honestly expected. The aisles were narrow with different type of books all around. It was also crowded, so even though Maya would like to explore all the books she couldn't without feeling like she was drowning in this crowd.
"There is so many people" She said, looking a bit disgruntled. She was hoping for more time and physical freedom to explore the whole shop.
"It usually happens during this time" Her sister, Ava Maxwell, explained to her then her father nodded. "Your sister is right, lets move on and get this over, yeah?"
"Well I was hoping for more time to discover books" Maya admitted but complied.
For now, she just was just looking for the books she needed for his first ever year at Hogwarts. She looked at her checklist, she had 7 books to get at total, she might feed her other curiousities about other books later.
Later they found most of them with some time, with only one of them missing. She thought maybe she couldnt see them so she kept looking, but they were nowhere to be found.
Ava said they should ask the shop owners, their father said he'll wait for them outside the shop and left. Maya and her sister made their way to talk to the shop owners.
Her sister talked to them instead of Maya herself because she was busy looking around until she found a book that caught her interest, it wasn't what they were looking for but a book about dragons sounded interesting. She opened to book to check a few pages.
