It was a weekend in September and thankfully, Lily had no homework. But she knew that it was coming. It was her O.W.L year, so that meant drowning in the parchment and not enough sleep. Her brother, Colin, had just done his last year and she remembered how he was with his O.W.L.s she barely saw him at all. But now it was her turn. Lily decided that since it was a beautiful day she would go out in the courtyard and enjoy the sun. As soon as she walked out onto the courtyard, her vision was assaulted by a huge and quite filthy...giant. A giant!!! Giants weren't allowed here!! But as she got closer she had to admit to herself that there had been some rumors last year regarding a teacher and their brother. Elmo Break if she recalled correctly. His brother had been Remy Break....And she had vaguely remembered some students gossiping about the new half-giant that couldn't really pronounce an incantation correctly. But as Lily kept her eyes on him, Lily couldn't help but wonder how he even accepted in the school if he couldn't speak even an incantation. And it looked like he hadn't washed in a month. Scratch that, a year! Lily stopped about 20 feet away from him and gave a wary wave. "Uhm, hello. You must be Remy." She had to look way way up. Her 5'9 height was nothing compared to Remy's. And he was younger than her. Much younger. From what she had heard, he was a second year. A twelve year old!! A twelve year old that was 7 feet tall! That had to be some kind of world record. It hurt her neck, just to look up that much! She felt sorry for whoever had to sit behind him in class.. They would have some trouble writing notes for sure.
