It was a beautiful summer morning. The sky was a clear, lovely blue except for a few fluffy white clouds on the horizon. It was pleasantly warm, not hot, but the morning chill was certainly gone from the air. A perfect day for broom racing.
But today, for a change, Matilde was not the one in the sky. After what felt like ages preparing for this, she was beyond ecstatic to be the moderator for today's race. As the racers and spectators alike began to arrive, Matilde grinned widely in anticipation of the coming game.
"Welcome everyone! To those who come from abroad, I hope you are enjoying your stay at Hogwarts this summer," She said, smiling at both the familiar and not-so familiar faces in the crowd.
"For our second race this weekend, please welcome our friends from Uagadou and Ilvermorny! On team Uagadou, we have Chuki wa Mwanamke and
Alemayehu Ngeni Bekele. Their opponents today will be team Ilvermorny, Devon Wallen and Cursa McCoire!" The crowd cheered enthusiastically. Matilde waited for them to quiet down again before she gathered the racers to their places.
"Now, let's have our racers line up at the start, just here. On your marks, get set, GO!"
