Cat Nip Siobhan

A new school year a new Dennis, that was his promise to himself as he walked down one of the myriad corridors of the castle. Juliet at his heels, the Ravenclaw rounded a corner with his arms full of scrolls and books. This was the year he was going to finally be serious about his studies, he wasn’t, by his own esteem, a child anymore. His parents were competent wizards nestled in muggle Edinburgh but neither of them were anything special. The way he was going, he wouldn’t be very special either and this was the year to turn it all around. Climbing down the stairs, Juliet took the high route, following along the edge of the floor above before jumping down onto Dennis’ shoulders. The boy nearly fell down the stairs with the sudden weight but was able to catch himself and keep from losing his arm full of parchment.

“Thanks, Jules” he muttered as we passed through several more corridors before arriving at the courtyard. There was always a good mix of students there at almost all hours of the day – studying, socializing, sitting in quiet meditation. Dennis sat down on an unoccupied bench near the fountain and placed his papers beside him. Juliet hopped off his shoulders onto the back of the bench. Something appeared to catch her attention as her ears perked up she froze staring in specific direction. “Hmm? What do you see?”
