Ah, fourth year. Third year was a blur of hormones and kisses but Dennis promised himself he was swearing off girls and their soft pillowy lips and nice smelling fragrances and…Dennis slapped himself louder than he meant to as he sat in the library. Focus up, boy, he reminded himself as he started at the page of the textbook he was currently working on. There were parchments and scrolls and tombs and textbooks scattered across the table as he noisily looked for something else to focus on. Charms was the next subject on his plate. Now where did he put that book? “Ah ha!” he exclaimed loudly as he shoved some of his books onto the floor to get at the Charms homework. The first item on his list was an old spell he had learned years ago that he wasn’t great at. He was dedicated to playing catch up this year and wouldn’t at all be distracted by the ladies…this time at least!

“Revalia” Dennis kept muttering to himself. “I got it I think!” he said to himself determined as he pulled over a parchment that was supposed to have a bunch of hidden messages on it. Taking out his wand, he pointed it at the parchment and said, again, a little too loud, “Ruluclio!” The parchment wiggled and shook and let out a belch. Well…that wasn’t how that was supposed to go! One more time, champ! “Revivio!” he annunciated and this time the parchment seemed to sigh as if also disappointed by the redhead’s effort at magic.
