Evangeline walked into the Owlery, content to have finally wrote a letter to her parents, one she would soon be sending home. Her first weeks at Hogwarts have been, quite interesting. It was all a lot to take in, a new school, new subjects, making friends. Enjoying every second of it she had done, but it had been all time consuming. Which saddened Evangeline only because she hadn't had the time to properly write her parents at home, altho she did receive quite a few letters from them.

We are so excited to hear that you have arrived well, and have been enjoying your time at Hogwarts. Your father and I have had nothing but joy and adventure there, and that is exactly what we hope for you to experience throughout your time there. Let us know how your classes are, how you are feeling and if you need anything, know that we are just a flying feather away!

Evangeline folded the letter closed again putting it back into the envelope, and tucked it deep into her house gown, making sure not to loose it. As she looked up, she saw Aster looking at her, giving a small squeak to let her owner know she was present, and in a good mood. Evangeline had received Aster as a gift for going to Hogwarts, which she had been so grateful for. Aster has been her ride or die ever since she has been at Hogwarts. Coming to comfort her when she was homesick, bringing her small twigs as a sign of affection. Evangeline couldn't have been more blessed with any other pet really! "Come down here Aster, I got you a letter! Hope you get to enjoy the journey my bud." She said to her owl, who was after hearing her speak now flying over to the railing right in front of Evangeline, sitting down, waiting to receive the letter from her owner. "I wrote my parents a letter, give them a squeaky from me, okay." She said and gave her owl a soft smile.
Dear Mother and Father
I am so sorry for only writing to you now, it has been beyond busy! I have been enjoying every part of this new journey, so you must know I am doing well, and just having so much fun that I am too exhausted to properly write at night! I must say I have been enjoying my time here so well mother! I am beyond grateful! Classes are very interesting, and I have made some friends as well! As I am excited to tell you even more! I for now only hope to know you are doing well, Faye is doing well and that you won't miss me too bad! Known that I am always with you! If you would ever be in need of Aster, let me know and I will send him your way!
Please give him a snack as reward, he will be delighted!

Evangeline folded the letter back and put it into its envelope, now handing it over to Aster to deliver it to her parents. She hoped they wouldn't be angry, for her late reply. And sincerely hoped they are well. She petted Aster one more time before he took off into the sky, she watched until her beautiful owl turned into a small black dot far away into the sky. She smiled, turned around and slowly went back to her dorm room.
