Having never been to a summar camp before, the girl was very excited to join this one, she didn't know what it entitled, but she's going to figure it out like everything else she does. Looking at her group she wanted to know what they're up to, are they supposed to pick a cabin or what. Her thoughts aldo drifted to a silly question: what an odd bunch they're, the funny thing is alot of them are Hufflepuffs, Harumi didn't know if this proves the "Hufflepuffs befriend everyone" stereotype true, but if it doesn't, she doesn't know what could. "Hey, guys! How have you been?" Harumi said as she waved at them, did she know them all? No, did she care? Maybe, but not enough to think about it twice.
----Before she could say anything else, she noticed a black board had their names on it, did it appear out of nowhere? " Look at that, is this how they're assigning cabins?" Harumi wondered. "looks like ours is Department for the regulation and control of magical creatures, such a long name." Harumi read what was on the board out loud. Well, I'm okay with that arrangement as long as we won't have to actually control creatures.... Unless we can adopt a dragon, then maybe I don't mind controlling creatures" She added the last part mischievously, a person who doesn't know her would think she's a troublemaker, but she's all words no actions when it comes to the rule breaking plans she makes. You can compare her to oxygen, helps in burning, but doesn't burn, she gives them the ideas, and then watches it unfold.
----It wasn't long before they reached the cabin, when they actually entered she was in awe, someone could have been talking to her and she wouldn't notice. The hanging plants were absolutely her favourite, she carfully examined one trying to guess what it is, her obsession with Herbology clearly showing, she whispered the names of the plants she recognised, and furrowed her brows trying to guess the ones she didn't. The chosen color palette and decors made it even more immersing, she didn't even notice what the others were doing. It wasn't until she listed each plant in her mind, that she finally decided the world was worthy of her attention for a little bit, promising to get back to the plants soon.
----"Looks like there are 3 bedrooms." She noted seeing the doors. She walked into one of them, there was a bunk and a normal bed. "I'm too lazy to check the other rooms, I'll take a bed in this one." She said before throwing herself onto the normal bed, she didn't want to sleep, she just decided to wait until someone else took initiative to decide what to do next, perhaps they could play a game or something.

Summer camp was… not something Thomas had planned on joining, but his mother apparently had decided otherwise. Upon learning that her son mostly kept to himself she was determined to have him socialise more. First, it was the strange tea parties to teach him some etiquette and how to navigate the so called 'polite society', and now it was summer camp. This year’s edition apparently involved the Ministry, which wasn’t all that thrilling. In Thomas’s mind the Ministry was associated with paperwork more than anything, so he hoped that he’d be assigned to one of the more interesting departments.
From the looks of it, groups had been formed maybe by the staff, of maybe during sign ups? At any rate, he was spending summer camp with a bunch of people he recognized from his classes. Most of the group were from Hufflepuff, and so much more familiar faces though he hadn’t really interacted with them. At least, not outside of classes. Still, he couldn’t remember any of these interactions to be unpleasant, so that was nice, at least. It’d be pretty embarrassing to be thrown into a group of friends though…
He had decided to take things in stride though, true he had been signed up without his consent, but he knew it was with good intentions, and well, maybe he’d make some friends. According to the blackboard in front of him, his group was assigned to the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Well, that’s one of the coolest departments. Sweet! Little by little, more people joined, some came together, others alone. Thomas wasn’t paying too much attention, just enough to greet them with a “Hello”.
Eventually all nine members arrived, and they went to their assigned cabin. All in all, it was a cosy space, a moderately sized log cabin. The main room was filled with all kinds of potted plants, some were even hanging from the ceiling, Thomas didn’t know what kind they were though. What he did know however were the many photographs of Magical Creatures displayed throughout the room. He spotted a Bowtruckle, a Kelpie, a Matagot and an Ashwinder, though there were probably more, he couldn’t tell. “Maybe they’re shy…”
Aside from that he could spot two doors on the side, which he moved towards and opened the doors to check what was behind. “Here’s the loo. And the bathroom is right next to it.” Which probably meant the other rooms were the bedrooms. Soon after Harumi confirmed it, claiming on bed as her own. As for the rest of them… well it needed to be sorted out. We’ll probably go with the boys in one room and the girls in the other two but I’ll wait and see… The sleeping arrangements didn’t matter much to him anyway and well, they could also move all the mattresses to the main room. Maybe I'll suggest it, just... not today.

It’s Zephyr’s first time attending a summer camp in wizarding world. He was not sure what to expect, if it’s different than the one organized in muggle world. He would be away from home again to stay in a cabin with campers from different years and schools. It’s exciting but also intimidating. But he reminded himself that he found good friends, nice professors, and a place he could call his second home. It was only a few weeks ago that he stepped off the Hogwarts Express and back at Aelwyd Vale. His July was mostly filled with farm chores and spending time with his family and friends. At one point, he met his close friends from Hogwarts and together, they explored the British Museum.
A few weeks after that, he was on his way to join the summer camp. Before he left, his mom had insisted he take a small wicker basket with him. It contains wrapped packets of herbal tea blended from herbs grown in their greenhouse, a few jars of homemade blackberry jam, and several small loaves of freshly baked bread. His dad also added pouch of dried lavender. He said it’s for the cabin so it’ll keep the room smelling fresh. Once at the campground, the first thing he did was check which cabin was assigned to and that was where he saw some of his friends. “Hey hey. We’ll be in the same cabin!” What a pleasant surprise, it’s Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. It was a natural choice for someone who grew up surrounded by animals. Spending time with people who shared that interest made this all the more exciting for him. Following the signs, they’ve finally reached the cabin.
Inside, it was warm and inviting. He personally liked the hanging plants and the creatures drawn on to the walls, add to that, the color combination of moss green, cream, brown, and shades of sage gave the cabin a feeling of someone being in a woodland cottage. It somehow reminded him a little of Aelwyd Vale. His eyes swept from one plant to another, trying to recognise the species. Harumi was the first one to claim a bed, “That didn’t take you long.” He turned to the other boy in the group, “Hi Thomas, looks like it’s you and me mate.“ Although they have not spoken outside of class, they shared enough classes for the greeting to be natural. He told the group, “My mom packed a few things from our farm before I left.” He put the small basket with tea blends, jars of blackberry jam, bread, cheese, and the small pouch of dried lavender. “If anyone wants some, please help yourselves.”

"Are you sure you have everything? You'll be okay when we leave?" Adora's Mother reached for her bag to do one final check, but Adora swung it out of the way just in time. Her mother stood back upright, wrapping a hand around her father's arm. "I'm sure, Mama. I have everything I'm going to need, and I'm sure the staff can help if anything happens." Adora assured her mother and hugged her, squeezing her tight. She let go, and went to hug her father. "Honey, calm down," Mr. Fletching began, "You're going to make her nervous. Besides, she'll make lots of friends. And maybe even find a more-than-friends." Adora swatted at her dad, bapping his arm. "Daaad! I can guarantee I'm not going to find someone while I'm here," Adora pulled her bag up to her stomach. She waved her parents goodbye, and went to find her cabin. She checked the list of people who were in her cabin, and only recognized one name: Zephyr. She didn't know any of the other people. Adora turned around, scanning the area for her cabin, and found it. She walked around for maybe three minutes, looking at the scenery, before heading to her cabin. She stepped inside, for the first time, calling out to anyone who may have already arrived. Her stomach was half-full of butterflies, but she pushed them away and continued exploring the space. She was in the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, and was very excited to see what sort of activities may be waiting for her. She hoped she'd get to see some critters. She called out into the cabin again, "Hello? Anybody home? I'm Adora, Your cabin mate." She set her bag down and looked around, admiring all the plants hanging about the homey area, and the way that all the greens and Brown's melded together. It gave off a comfy vibe that Adora liked.
