Stupid Tree Closed

Ero sat in the bed, timidly tapping out a song on her cast. The tree outside seemed to be taunting her. Not a whomping willow, thank goodness, but all the while, it was tall and malicious in the dusk hours. It wasn't dusk anymore though, now it was late into the night.
That was why she'd fallen. Her friend, Georgia, had dared her to climb the sulking limbs to reach the top, but due to the late hour she hadn't seen the dark moss growing on a branch until her boots had slipped off of it. With a groan, Ero looked mournfully at her arm, that'd been lightly fractured. It's heal in no time, for sure, but until then she'd have a hard time doing much. Ero sat up, and swung her arms over the edge of the bed. From where she sat, everyone else was on one side of the room, and asleep. This gave her the time to reach, carefully, for her notebook. It had to be her writing arm that was broken, but none the less she could hold a pencil and move her wrist.
Ero wrote in her beloved journal, cataloging the adventurous climb and fall like the story of a bold adventurer.

"Not as expected, but.. It'll do!" -Ero Hallister
