Jay walked in the Leaky Cauldron and made a beeline for the front bar “Coffee, uh black please, no milk” she mumbled, slightly distracted by her own mind and thoughts as they threatened to overwhelm her.

It’s gonna be horrible, he’s gonna hate me and it’s gonna be all my fault because I messed up. Why do I even care at this point?

When she got her coffee, Jay breathed a sigh of relief, cupping the mug and letting the warmth settle into her palms as she took a sip, the coffee warming up her mouth and setting fire to her throat but it was good. Really good.

Jay sighed, breathing slowly as she calmed down and relaxed, beginning to notice her surroundings. There weren’t a lot of people in the Leaky Cauldron at the moment, she hadn’t really noticed but quite a few of them didn’t look exactly human. Vampires or even Hags might be wondering around too but Jay ignored it.

It’s just the stress talking… calm down

As if knowing Jay needed him, her ferret poked his head up out of her satchel, climbed up her arm, using her sleeve to haul himself up and nuzzled her face warmly.

“Thanks bud” Jay smiled, feeding him the little almond cookie on her saucer that he gobbled up happily, settling down on her shoulder and falling asleep.
