His monkey's, his circus. Perhaps they would feel surprised to see their headmaster coming to spectate their quidditch match that wasn't even official. Not just spectate. To support. As a given with the magically animated banner he had set up across the railing before he took the front seat for viewing.
This year was a year of losing promising students. Kohana, despite his weaknesses was a strong position on the quidditch team, meanwhile Midorimori - alongside him, was as much of a threat on the field as the other. Nevermind Midorimori's history with cheating… but Quidditch was an admirable, honourable game not for it's history of fouls. Though the headmaster was known to push his students to hold education high importance, extracuricular looked good on resume's too.
Yet, Kohana, Midorimori… he would lose them both soon to graduation. That meant, Mahoukotoros quidditch team would be setback. Perhaps due to Midorimori's influence, it wasn't too bad. Most of the team were navy robed- excellent in grades, and going out their way to participate in a mock quidditch?
THATS RIGHT! THATS HIS STUDENTS! THATS THE MAHOUKOTORO WAY. When he sees hard work and effort like this, it makes him think all the time he had confiscated items, striking anxiety, and pressuring all worth it.
Kanae Suzuki was of course, one of his best students given her golden robe achievement, even if she did spent useless time reading mangas about emotionally constipated zodiacs being turned into animals .
Miharu Goto he thought was a predictable pureblood family, high grades, polite manners, barely get into trouble. If not for the subconscious fear she instilled in him at every moving shadows.
Hayato Ichiyagi was another notable name among pureblood circles, though Sako hadn't met him personally he heard rumours of his fascination with … boats? Sako will have to look into it if he wanted to confiscate them. You know - out of love and care for his future.
And
Mio Kasasagi… being the only lavender robed there.. eh… perhaps the grades from the others made up for it. Sako had already low expectations of her given her grades, but on top of the suspicions he's been getting about her being light fingered? God help him, please don't embarrass him on the quidditch pitch the way she embarrassed him through her grades.
As for the other teammembers of the Sapphire Storms? Not his monkeys. But hey if they were to notice the banner and the unfamiliar definitely-not-that-old man occasionally cheering and clapping for them, good on them!
