It took quite a time to travel from her city's station to King's Cross Station in London. Millie sat between her parents. Her mother busy cross-checking her daughter's luggage, while her father become more quieter than usual. Millie herself just sat silently. Her heart thumped nervously. She barely slept last night. Doesn't remember anything until her mother wake her up at seven sharp in the morning. She doesn't even realized what clothes she wore right now under the coat her mother wrapped it in for her.

She's too overthinking things what kind of school-life she going to make it out at Hogwarts to the point she's gone blank when their train reached King's Cross Station.

In her mother's warm hand, Millie being dragged mindlessly while her father followed close behind with his daughter's trunk. Looking here and there, they couldn't find where the Platform ¾ was. When the mother saw a conductor, she immediately try to asked him. However, the father hold his wife while he nudged his chin to the other side of station where there were a family walked straight to the brick between Platform 9 and 10. Millie's parents looking at each other in complete bewilderment, and then looked down at their daughter who looked at the same direction as them.

"I think that's where Platform ¾ is," Millie said.

"Ah, yes. Apparently so," her father chimed in with a cough, while he handed his daughter's trunk. He bend over a little and added with a whispers, "It is magical school after all."

It is farewell time. She still doesn't said much as she just listened of what her mother's long list of advice and reminder had given to her.

"Yes, Mama, I understand."

Her mother huffed, then bend down and give her daughter a peck on the forehead. "Alright. Then don't forget to inform us once you arrived at school, okay?"

Millie nod her head, chuckled at her mother's clear worrisome showing at her face. And then she looked at her father who stepped closer to her and shoved something to her hand. Pocket journal. She beamed when looking at that.

"We're sure you know what you need to do at school," he said cryptically, but Millie immediately nod and clutched the journal tightly.

Millie took a deep breath, then grip her trunk in one hand while looking at her parents for the last time, "I'm leaving."

They watching their daughter slowly moving away from them with another children and families walking straight to the brick between Platform 9 and 10. Each of them still unsure about that path, truth to be told. But when they saw with their own eyes how their daughter just disappear like there is a secret path inside that brick, they knew that this way of their daughter's life is not mistaken.
