Avalon’s black boots silently tapped against the ground softly as she swiftly moved, shoes crunching in the dried dirt as she looked around at the chaos around her. The temperature was slowly dropping as the sun dipped behind the skyline, the humidity raising in the process. Even with the slight layer of sweat across the back of her neck, it was a nice evening and the circus was already brimming with energy. There were people walking everywhere, moving between the smaller performance tents and the food stands as they waited for the Big Top to open for the final main performance. The girl was going to miss this once she was away at school, but for now, she was enjoying the chaos. Avalon’s small body slid between the customers and performers, grinning as she noticed Arthur in the distance. He had been in charge of one of the ticket booths for the evening, so Avalon had run to grab him a candied apple to snack on. The girl was not sure where Gwaine was, probably hiding somewhere amongst the magical creatures. The blonde did not get the whole way to the ticket booth though as she slammed into someone coming from her left, knocking her to the ground. “Oof.” Avalon's body hit the ground with a groan. |

The girl must've barely hit the ground before Remy huffed as he loomed over her like a giant that crawled down from the beanstalk. His very shadow's presence was enough to swallow her whole. He looked to the sky briefly then turned back towards her. His arm stretched out, his palms open as if to grab her hand if needed.
Though, his eyes glinted with a wave of mischief that meant, at least to him, danger for anyone who was dumb enough to trust him. "Okay me hell." Remy's grin sharpened. If she would grab his hand, he had every intention to send her hurling into the closest vertical surface like that one scene in Matilda.
But no matter what she'd do, Remy was here wanting to know what the heck she was doing, who she was and why she thought it was a great idea to run into a sacred hero that was ever so delusionally loved by the school. Remy chose to believe that his acts the previous year; beating on people, beating them up, giving them bruises... were all good actions that were done for the better of the world. After all, they needed a bully to keep them in place.
And Remy? Oh, he was going to bother this lunatic that collided into him for the better of the world.

The blonde looked at the apple, sitting on the ground in front of her, dirt and grass sticking to the candied coating. “Aww, my apple.” She muttered before she finally looked up to see who she had run into. The first thing she noticed was the height. Part-giants were not a surprise to her, quite a few having worked in the circus for years. She did not meet many Part-giants though. “Wow, you are really tall.” Avalon said with a smile as she pulled herself up and dusted her hands off onto her dress. Even standing up straight, she was still feet shorter than the boy, which she found absolutely fascinating. “How tall are you?” She quickly shook her head as she realized she had not even introduced herself or apologized, not giving the boy a chance to speak as she started talking again. “Sorry, that was rude of me. I apologize for running into you, my name is Avalon.” Avalon’s once normal hair was now frizzed and falling out of her braids as she looked up at the older boy, a soft grin on her face. The apple lay completely forgotten at her feet. Arthur would laugh about it later, when the girl would show up without the treat. |

Remy stared at the blond-haired ant babbling a million words a second at his knees, looked at her disgusting looking apple rotting in the dirt getting caked in specks of brown and the crunchiness of the leaves. He looked at her as if she were absolutely clueless that she just bodychecked a giant.
He was tall? No way. His eyes could practically be seen rolling around like marbles in a swirling jar. Remy twisted his face, as if she asked a dumb question. "Yeah. Me tall. You tiny. You tawsh me ian, me poont you." What he was basically saying was that if she touched him again, he would punt her into whatever he could aim towards. After all, he was tougher than the scales of a dragon, he felt.
She kept yammering though and Remy just wanted to shut her up. Too many words. Too many positive tones out of her vocal cords. Too much damn Avalon.
He reached out suddenly with one of his giant hands clenched up in a fist formation landing on top of her head like a bear paw. His knuckles pressed onto her scalp and he grinned. It was noogie time for her. He didn't know the word in English, but he was definitely going to noogie her.
He scrubbed her scalp with a coarse and rapidfire force, frizzing her hair into a disaster and forcing it to redden at a rapid pace- like a matchstick being dragged across the sides of a matchbox.
He stopped when he felt like her scalp was about to start on fire. "Me sect sorry. Remy sect sorry you ring apple." (Me accept sorry, Remy accept sorry if you bring new apple.)

A quiet huff left Avalon’s lips as she crossed her arms. She was not tiny, in fact she was very much average height for someone her age. Just because he was giant, part-giant literally, didn’t mean she was not tall. She muttered under her breath, loud enough he could hear that she was saying something but not loud enough to understand. Avalon yelped as her hair was ruffled, not expecting the sudden action. If her hair had not been a mess before, it definitely was now. Little hairs poked out in every direction, her braids falling into pieces. “My hair!” She complained as she attempted to flatten it as best she could. It was a poor attempt, nothing able to fix it unless she spent the time to put it down and rebrush it, something she was not planning on doing right now. “Nice to meet you Remy.” The blonde girl went to hold her hand out for a shake when she remembered he had said about no touching. Slowly, she looked down at the apple on the ground, finally realizing that she was going to need to go and get another one. “Oh yeah, come on this way.” Avalon took off at a jog to the Candied Apple stand, hoping Remy would be following behind her. |

Remy stood. Remy stared. He thought the girl was running like she was late for some sort of festivity, a parade mayhaps? No, maybe this girl was a clown! His author hoped she wasn't one of those killer clowns from 2016, but his author knew that Remy would have no knowledge of this. He muttered to himself, 'wi you run ike at?'
Finally, he just stomped after her, trampling whatever ant hill claimed as home or haven in his passage to follow this child. Each step was a heavy thud and with every thud, the dirt tossed up around his feet a little. He decided he would walk like a tank as if the circus was some sort of territory for him.
He pointed at the apples. He didn't want a green, yellow, or otherwise possibly bitter or soft apple. He wanted a big one, not a tiny little baby apple, so he could chuck it at someone and watch them get angry in real time. There was a difference between throwing a pebble and throwing a boulder.
"Remy no pay" His words were simple but pay was definitely jarbled in his mouth before he could spit it out. It wasn't quite as easy to use the 'p' sound.
He looked around, wondering who he could beat up before anything big happened. On the off side, his author is wondering why Avalon Briard and the circus reminds him of Lucy Gray Baird and her Covey band.

Avalon scrambled across the temporary circus grounds, not checking if Remy was following behind her. “Wendy! Wendy!” She called out as she made her way to the stand, bouncing on her toes as she went. Luckily, one of the other workers was dealing with the customers, so getting the apples would be a quick mission. Wendy was a woman in her mid-40s, had been traveling with the circus longer than Avalon had even been alive. At this point, she was used to the antics of the Briard children, so was not surprised when the girl showed up again. “Now what did you do this time?” Avalon grinned bashfully as she rocked on her heels, “I dropped the first apple, can I get two more, that one and that one?” The blonde girl pointed at one of the larger red apples and one of the green apples her brother loved. The girl grinned and a quiet giggle left her as the two apples were handed to her. They were fresh, having been sitting just long enough for the candy coating to harden. “No need to pay, I get all of my food for free.” The girl handed the large sweet candy apple to the boy, hearing something muttered behind her about the Briards eating them out of all their inventory. She chose to ignore it with a grin plastered on her face. “So, have you ever been to the circus before?” |

Remy clutched the apple handed to him like he was some sort of giant war general clutching a weapon. He stared at the red coat and brought it towards his nostrils to sniff. Smelled like an apple. But he was still suspicious.
He took a bite and crunched incredibly loud, the natural sugar of the apple clanged to his teeth and the added sugar, because it was a candied apple, did not help. He felt his teeth clench up in pain but he also felt like it was the sweetest thing he had ever had. Regardless, he stopped taking his bite and answered the girl's question about being at a circus before with a hard throw of an apple in her face.
"Me no no what sertius is." He spoke plainly, the words forming a closer sentence than what he started Hogwarts off with.
He stared at the vibrant colors of the tent and only scrunched up his nose.
Nah, no this girl was going to make him jump through hoops on fire and have people laugh at him. He growled as he walked off to the tent. He was going to tear the place apart to show that he wasn't going to be her puppet! He was a 'wild and untamed thing'.
