'Get a cat' they said. 'It would be fun' they said. 'Cats are such nice creatures' they said. Now don't get her wrong, Fawkes adored Seren. She loved her little kitten bundle of fluff. Seren was a joy to have around. As much as she was nervous around her owner she had warmed up to her really nicely. Seren had gone from hiding from Fawkes to actively seeking her out whenever she was near.
Now that was cute. That Fawkes could deal with and love. But not whatever she was doing now. Off late the little cat had become a menace. She wouldn't respond to her name and even when she did, she actively ignored Fawkes. It was driving her nuts. She would call out to Seren to come eat only to be ignored. Even getting her to just come and sit next to Fawkes was a problem.
That all lead up to today. Fawkes was sitting in her home library staring at this grey and white ball of fluff. You know Seren you act like an old noble lady sometimes. You know? Always sticking their nose up in the air, insisting on titles, the likes of that. At this rate I should start calling you Lady Seren.
Seren turned her head to look at Fawkes. She responded with a meow and went to go jump onto Fawkes' lap. Fawkes blinked her eyes at her. Oh you've got to be kidding me. She mumbled. You telling me you want to be called Lady Seren now!? Her response was another meow as she settled to fall asleep. Fawkes sighed but relented to her antics. Fine if that's what you want ill start calling you Lady Seren. But this better just be a phase you little rascal.
Fawkes could never stay mad at Seren. She was her dearest kitten after all. As annoying as she could be Fawkes adored her regardless and would give into her demands.
