Before he had any further exposure to magic or even knew what it was, Atticus had lived a simple normal life in Castle Combe, a beautiful village in London. It was a village where everyone got along, and everyone knew each other for the good things they've done around the village. He was raised by his mother, Raja Patel who was a muggle born wizard but a joyful cheerful woman—and his father, Erris (Ilias) Soltani, a calm, collected, and calculated man who was a pureblood wizard.. Then finally, his younger brother Jakeem Soltani who was a bundle of sunshine.

There were often times where Raja would explain bits of what magic was to Atticus, meanwhile his father had often kept it private—not wanting to expose his sons to the much scarier side of magic and what lies within it. Atticus, respecting his father, kept this secret safe with him as always. Of course, due the passing of his mother in late May, just when was around 4 years old—his mother passed due to a break in and in the end of the murder, all that was left was a bloody scar that would change his life. The murder did reach prophet news, but Erris did everything to make sure his son's weren't reminded of that horrid time.

Eventually, they had to move as word of the murder had spread around too fast in the village, even though the villagers where giving the family their condolences.. It still ached to be reminded of such pain. The family of now three moved to Shaftesbury, a town where one wrong look already lead to gossip. Atticus had to learn to fit into his new environment, along with having to enroll in school by the time he turned nine. School was already hard enough to fit in as he was already deemed as the "weird kid", his scar was the center of attention. Kids would label him as cursed, or weird, the bullying had gotten so bad it was the reason for his first instance of magic; causing light bulbs to burst and desks to move. In the end his father removed him from the school and keeping him away until it was time.. For the real magic to come.
