The Train Ride had left Jun a little confused, a little uncertain whether her best friend was okay, a little in thought. Mey was most likely somewhere at the Gryffindor table, somewhere Jun couldn’t see in the sea of red. She had also she caught sight of Colin or Liam somewhere in here. But as often, Jun now sat between people she did not really know or care to know. Currently, the last couple first years were getting sorted and the Ravenclaw found herself clapping along and forcing a little smile onto her lips for the first years coming to their table.

The Great Hall was packed. In a way that only truly became clear at the first day of the year and one wondered whether the long tables would provide enough space for every single students. Missing the sorting or welcoming feast was not something anyone would willingly do. Jun personally found it quite interesting to see the new faces and watch them get sorted into their respective houses. She could still remember well how her hands had slightly trembled last year, how she had stood between all the other students and sat down at the Ravenclaw table in an almost reserved way.

This year she felt sympathy for those standing at the front.

When the sorting ceremony was over, food appeared on the tables and everyone began filling their plates. Jun started out with a green tea, something she enjoyed throughly.

As the Ravenclaw sipped her tea, her gaze traveled over the crowds before getting stuck on a dyed pink head of hair in front of her; a first year that had just been sorted into Ravenclaw. She had blue eyes and possibly some freckles? If the girl opposite to her looked up, Jun would send her a welcoming smile before looking back down at her plate and begging to look at what she wanted to eat.
