A Strange Encounter
As I walked into Flourish and Blotts, I couldn't help but take a super deep breath in. I just loved the smell of new books. I always have.
I looked down at my list of supplies and saw that I needed seven books:
I walked over to a shelf and looked over all of the books on it, searching for any of the seven names of the books I need. I could probably get lost in this store for hours. I just love books! As I continued to look I accidentally bumped into someone. I looked over at them and they didn't even look up.
"I am so sorry."
The person was in a dark cloak and still didn't look at me even after my apology. I couldn't help but feel suspicious, so I just turned around and went to the next aisle, just hoping that I didn't need a book on that aisle.
After I found all seven books, I went up to the counter. I gave the nice lady my books and smiled.
"First year?" She asked.
"Yes, ma'am. I am super excited."
"You should be. You are going to love it." She smiled back at me.
I payed her and nodded in a short motion meant to mean goodbye. As I walked towards the door I looked down the aisle with the creepy figure, but no one was there. I wonder who they were, I thought to myself as I opened the door and stepped into Diagon Alley.
