Just a Quiet Reading
Tammy, being the bookworm she is, had went to the library to read quietly. At least, that was what she had planned. She brought the book her mother had given her, another fictional Muggle book. Her mother knew exactly what type of books she likes and bought it for her. The Hufflepuff would've loved to read the books in the library but she had to finish her own books first.
As she is a rather fast reader, she might be able to finish it in a day if there are no interruptions. She had only a few ten or nine pages left before she finished the whole thing. She just hoped that her mother wouldn't send her any more books, she's sure their poor owl wouldn't be able to carry the books even with charms that could make the book less heavier.
Tammy read the book in silence, taking all the words on the pages. Her blonde hair was slightly getting in the way. Everyone always suggested that she should cut it or if she didn't want to cut it, she should tie it up. They're logical but she doesn't like doing either one. She didn't like exposing much skin, always wearing sweaters or long sleeves. She felt a little self-conscious about it.
She shook the thought off and continued her reading, but found that her eyes had already landed on the last word of the book. She closed it and gave a small sigh, tapping the cover of the book with her index finger as she was too lazy to even stand up. She would've went and searched for any book that caught her eye but she suddenly grew lazy. Curses, she should've just read in the common room if this was going to happen. Then again, not like she knew that it will happen.

Just a Quiet Reading
John loved reading so much so he visited the library often. This time he came with a different mindset. He wanted to make new friends. Since he came to Hogwarts he never talked to anyone to much. He had a lot of encounters but other that that, nothing. He decided that the best place to make friends is the library where he could find a big reader such as himself. He did not want to befriend someone who was not anything like him.
Once John went to the library, he immediately decided to look for a book that catches his eye. He had read a lot of muggle books but not that many wizard books. Soon, John looked at 4 different shelves throughout the library, but sadly no book caught his eye.
He decided to ask someone in the library for a solution. He decided a student would be ideal. He wandered around until he spotted a girl sitting by herself. John decided this was his chance to make a friend and get a good book to read.
John walked over to the girl.
“Hello, I am John” John said to the girl. He wondered how she would react. Every person is different in there own way.

Just a Quiet Reading
"Hello, I am John."
Tammy looked at the voice, seeing a boy that seemed to be in her year. Shoot, she wasn't that good at socializing. Well, hopefully he's nice. The last thing she wanted was someone who was mean to approach her. She doesn't like bullies, not that she had experience with them. She never really got bullied by the Muggles in her neighbourhood due to her protective older brothers who would be described as "scary" by some people.
Ah, she should probably give a response to the boy. She just hoped he didn't think she was weird or something, that would be unfortunate.
"Hello, I'm Tammy," Tammy introduced herself to the boy, giving a friendly smile.
Tammy's gaze shifted left and right. She didn't know exactly why he chose to approach her but oh well. She did wish for someone to talk to her. Maybe she should think before wishing something. It's like the saying think before you act.
"Um, are you looking for something...?" Tammy questioned.
He must be looking for something or not... some people just want to talk, she knew that since she's one of them. Making friends would be something she'd do but she's too shy to even talk to anyone.

Just a Quiet Reading
“Hello, I am Tammy” said the girl that John had approached. She looked slightly nervous but John could not tell for sure.
“Um, are you looking for something?” Tammy asked him. He realized it must have been awkward for her. John did not want to talk to someone who was mean. So far, John decided that Tammy was not a mean person.
“Sorry, do you recommend any books?” John asked a little nervously with a half-smile. “I read every single book I brought from home.”
John fidgeted with his hands. This was one of the first times he had talked to someone. He did not want to mess anything up. Tammy did not seemed frustrated like some people would of been when he had introduced himself. John seemed a little embarrassed. Who asks a question like that apon meeting someone new?
“You are a first year, right?” John asked Tammy, he was still unsure on how to approach her. He had not seen her before so he had no information. Just a Quiet Reading
Upon the question, Tammy mentally face-palmed. Of course he was searching for a book, that's why most people come to the library anyway. Although there were the ones that are just hiding or something but she never really paid any mind to that. She thought about her answer, she wouldn't say she had read any wizarding books, only Muggle books so it might be a little difficult for her to give any recommendation.
"Well, I don't really know to be honest..." Tammy trailed off. "You can always ask the librarian or the elves of something that interests you. Sorry for not being much of help..."
Tammy would've recommended Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them but she's pretty sure that he's already read it considering it was used for Care of Magical Creatures. If he was interested in Muggle literature then she would've recommended some that she enjoyed herself. Then again, her taste in books are rather... bizarre to say the least.
If she wasn't so afraid or panicky, she would've asked if he did like Muggle books, or at least have an interest in them.
