A mini tradition of the Chaos family was to go out somewhere on Easter Monday. It wasn't for any reason special it was just for the family to enjoy by themselves after Easter celebrations. This year they decided to go to Diagon Alley.

Her parents just wanted had just wanted to make a quick stop at the Magical Menagerie to pick up some treats for their family owl Pollux. As they entered into the shop, Fawkes looked around in awe. This was the first time she had entered the Menagerie before. She had only ever viewed it from the window as she had never had a reason to enter until now. She began to wander around the place looking at the various animals they had.

The owls looked so beautiful where they sat. She couldn't help but be drawn to them. She made sure to maintain some distance though, her father had told her many owls don't like being approached by people. She noticed a snowy owl. It looked quite similar to Pollux, Fawkes wondered if they may be related to each other. But the owl seemed quite disinterested in her.

Fawkes walked away from the owls and made her way towards the cats instead. She was just going to glance over them. She wasn't exactly planning on getting a pet yet. However her eyes were caught on an adorable fluffy kitten. It's coat was snow white but had shades of grey mixed in throughout. It seemed to be staring at her as well. Intrigued, she went closer.

Fawkes knelt down in front of the kitten as it looked at her with bright blue eyes. Hi there. She whispered softly, placing her hand near the cage. The kitten seemed hesitant for a minute but after a small while it placed its paw closer to her, almost touching her hand.

She seems to have taken a liking to ya. She's normally quite shy. Said a voice from besides her. Fawkes jumped upright from the fright only to meet face to face with an elderly woman in a lovely floral dress. The woman chuckled, Skittish one aren't ya? Exactly like this little one here.

Fawkes looked embarrassed about suddenly jumping up like that. Sorry about that. She mumbled sheepishly. Uhh if its alright could you tell me more about her? She asked. Of course! This little one here will be turning 3 months old in a few days. She's been too shy to interact with any customers. In fact, you here are the first one i've seen being able to get her to approach!

Fawkes looked back down at the kitten noticing how she was still staring at her. Can I take her out of the cage? Sure you can! Here i'll open it. As the cage was opened, Fawkes gently lifted the kitten out of the cage, holding it close to her. Mama. May I get this cat? She asked her mother who had come over to see what she was doing.

Are you sure? Her mother asked. A pet is a lot of responsibility to take care of you know. I know I promise i'll take good care of her! She held the cat closer while staring at her mother with puppy dog eyes she knew would work. Alright then. Her mother smiled and looked up at the elderly woman who had helped Fawkes. We would like to buy this cat please. Most certainly! Come over to the counter.

Fawkes held the cat while her father made the payment for it. The lady handed Fawkes a small card. The little one's birth information is on that card for whenever you may need it. Thank you so much! She exclaimed before having a look at the card.

The card contained information about the kitten's weight, height, eye colour, etc. But what caught Fawkes off guard was the date of birth. January 11th 2026. January 11th. Her birthday. She looked over at the cat who let out a small meow at her. We have the same birthday. Fawkes said softly, slightly baffled. Perhaps that's why I was drawn to you. It seems our meeting was fated from the start hm? She giggled, placing a kiss on the kitten's head. Since we share a birthday I should give you a name befitting of it. She thought for a minute as multiple names cycled through her mind. Alasia, Callisto, Nebula and more. Though non seemed to fit just right. But that's when it hit her. The perfect name.
