A Nap With Mother Nature
( Open to anyone who wishes to join )
The day's events had worn Kira down more than she'd like to admit. Flying had been exhausting and Astronomy was just a bore, and Potions was more complicated than she thought it'd be. She cursed herself for zoning out during most of her mother's many lessons before coming here to Hogwarts.
She also didn't have much of an appetite during lunch, and decided to ignore the delicious foods laid out before her. Now, she immediately regretted her decision not to eat, her stomach agreeing with small growls.
Classes had finally ended, and Kira was meant to be in the Slytherin dorms to unwind for the rest of the day. However, the common room proved too rowdy and crowded with the rest of her house mates in there, and her dorm room was simply too noisy, her room mates chattering and gossiping, about some sort of hot boy or something, for what seemed like forever. She didn't exactly enjoying hearing what the other girls thought of his oh so 'luxurious black hair' or his 'dreamy eyes,' so she silently escaped their room and the Slytherin dorm, going out unnoticed.
Kira now sat on the grassy lands surrounding the Great Lake, relieved of the natural silence that put her at ease. There was a slight breeze, smelling of pine and wood and salt, causing her strawberry blonde hair to gently sway in the wind. Her hands rested flat on the ground beside her, her slim fingers toying with the green grass. She faced the Great Lake and marvelled at how the sun's bright rays shimmered against the waters, causing the lake to sparkle with magic and beauty.
This is exactly what Kira needed after a tiring day at Hogwarts. A small yawn escaped her pink lips and she found her peacock blue eyes slowly closing against her will. A nap would be nice right now. A nap with Mother Nature.
Kira hopped nothing would interrupt this wonderful moment.

A Nap With Mother Nature
Kendra was spending a lot of time by the Great Lake for the past few weeks. She was walking up and down across the edge, occasionaly taking off her shoes to splash her feet into the cold water. There were so many rumors concerning this Lake. There were all sort of creatures living in there after all, Merpeople for the most part. She had hoped to meet one even though no records of them actually coming to the surface existed.
As she walked she spotted a blond girl lying down on her back enjoying the day. She seemed to be fast asleep by the time Kendra approached to take a better look. The girl reminded her of something, Kendra was certain she had seen her before. They were in the same house after all so that must have been the reason for that.
She wondered why this girl decided to doze off here in the open, when so many things could go wrong. What if some creature dragged her in the water? What if she lost track of time and got in trouble? Kendra decided to walk up to her and thought of ways to wake her up without freaking her out. Alas, she wasn't careful enough as she stumbled on a rock and fell down causing a loud thud as she landed a few meters away from the girl. Her wand flew out of her pocket and as it did so a small cloud flew out of its tip and hovered over the sleeping girl before snow began falling from it.
As she walked she spotted a blond girl lying down on her back enjoying the day. She seemed to be fast asleep by the time Kendra approached to take a better look. The girl reminded her of something, Kendra was certain she had seen her before. They were in the same house after all so that must have been the reason for that.

A Nap With Mother Nature
It was a nice, peaceful, and dreamless nap. Kira felt comfortable, besides the fact that she was laying on her back on the ground. Before Kira had closed her eyes, she remembered the warm embrace of the sun shining down on her. But now, the comforting warmth had suddenly gone and a cold chill ran down her spine. Perhaps Kira had slept for longer than she realised, and the sun had gone down?
Something touched her nose nose then. A cold, light touch, like a feather. But the unknown thing that had touched her disappeared as soon as it came, and Kira found the tip of her nose. . . wet?
Her eyes flew open that instant, her back immediately coming off the ground, sitting up. Her eyes looked up, and that's when she noticed the small cloud hovering above her, beautiful specks of snow falling from it. So that's what she felt. But. . . What's a miniature snow cloud doing above my head. . ?
Kira spotted something move in her peripheral vision, and she snapped her head towards it, wand at the ready. Noticing it was just another wizard, her house matching Kira's, she sighed in quiet relief that it wasn't a life threatening creature of some sorts. She placed her wand back in her pocket and stood from her sitting position on the ground. The cloud still hovered above her, the falling snow dusting Kira's hair and shoulders.

Kendra stared wide eyed as the girl awakened from her nap cofused and searching for the cause of her distrubance. Supporting herself with her arms, Kendra stood up and straightened her robes, removing some grass stuck on the fabric from the fall. She felt really foolish having lost her balance like that, and her wand... What happened to her wand? Why did it act in such a way? It had fallen just a little further so she stepped over to pick it up before looking at the girl that was now fully awake and standing up with the cloud still hovering over her head, snow falling all over her hair. That felt really awkward.
"I am so sorry!" Kendra said "I just slipped and fell and my wand flew out of my pocket and went crazy!" she explained in haste as she tried to work something out in her mind so as to fix the spell. She pointed her wand towards the cloud "Evanesco"she uttered with a soft tremble in her voice. She had never used the spell before and as a result the cloud faded a bit but stayed in place. "Evanesco!" she repeated and finally the cloud disappeared leaving a bunch of mid air snowflakes behind.
She sighed in relief, her spells weren't usually that efficient in just the first attempt but the thought of proving weak in front of a housemate must have been the cause for this early success.

I apologise for my terribly late reply. I've been busy lately and couldn't find the time to visit the site. 
The hovering snow cloud disappeared, leaving a final dust of snow atop Kira's head. She combed her slim fingers through her loose hair and dusted her snow flaked shoulders, removing the snow off of her so Kira would seem. . . presentable. The fellow Slytherin witch who stood before her was a complete stranger, one that Kira had never met or even seen before. First impressions were something important to Kira, and the way she and the other girl are meeting for the first time now, was. . . awkward to say the least.
Kira debated what to do now, however. Introduce herself? Extend her hand out for a handshake? Or simply say 'Hello'? Instead of doing any of those things, Kira found herself blurting out the words: "You should watch where you throw your wand."
She mentally face palmed as the words left her lips. What a great conversation starter.
Kira hoped the way she said it didn't seem as rude, since Kira didn't exactly plan on being it. She silently prayed the other girl wouldn't feel offended, and that she'd simply shrug it off.

Kendra was taken aback by the girl's words. "I said I'm sorry." she said with a frowned look on her face as she crossed her arms and looked down at her feet. "Besides, you are lucky it was me that woke you up and not any creature crawling out of the lake to get you." she pointed out.
Hogwarts and its grounds was presumably a safe place for students to wander around in, except for parts like the Forbidden Forest where the name itself made it very clear to stay away. Nonetheless, Kendra couldn't shake the feeling that danger lurked around every corner, even though she would often go exploring by herself not able to keep her curiosity at bay.
Slytherins had a weird way of speaking their mind, she had noticed that even in herself. They could sound rude or sarcastic or mean without ever intending to. It must have been their competitive nature that got them in situations like this and had them misunderstood by many. Being aware of this situation she had decided to not turn her back to any of her housemates for reasons like this. They had to stick together after all.
"I'm Kendra. Can I at least learn the name of my most recent "victim"?" she joked sarcastically but in good spirits indicating that the girl might have thought she actually did it on purpose which had never been the case in the first place and just the thought seemed ridiculous.

Kira frowned at the thought of a creature crawling out of the lake for her. The girl did have a point. She shouldn't have slept here in the first place, but where else could she have gone? The Slytherin dorms was a big no-no, due to all her noisy roommates. She tried peeking into other classrooms in the castle but couldn't find any quiet place that seemed suitable, so Kira went outside. And it was either by the Great Lake or the Forbidden Forest, and Kira didn't seem too eager to spend her night lost in the dark woods or in a monster's belly, so the Great Lake it was.
Kira huffed out a small, amused laugh at the girl's use of the word 'victim'.
"Kira," She said and nodded in reply to the girl's small introduction.
Kira's peacock blue eyes travelled up and down the other girl, quietly assessing her the way she did with everyone new she met. She did it as discreetly as she could, as to not seem rude. The other girl was taller than Kira was, although she didn't give the fact a second thought as Kira was always on the shorter side, which is something she's always hated about herself.

"It's nice to meet you." Kendra simply said as she watched the girl observing her even though she tried being as discreet as possible. "I was just looking for water fairies, I read somewhere that one should be able to find them around here, if they are lucky that is." she explained. "Would you like to join me? "
Kendra was fascinated by beautiful magical creatures like fairies or unicorns. She had learned that fairies often enjoy being used as decoration and she wondered if any of them would agree to come with her back to the castle. How awesome would she look having a fairy friend follow her around all day? Her motives might have been rather vain but she was determined to carry out her plan successfully. She had gathered everything she thought could attract a fairy, such as glitter, perfume and a few crystals from her collection.
"It's okay if you say no." she continued. Kendra wasn't certain what Kira was thinking about, the girl was very hard to read. A soft breeze blew, ruffling their cloaks and hair and sending stray leaves flying all around them. The sun was shining brightly, its light hitting the water surface and creating a sparkly effect as it reflected back. It seemed the perfect time for fairy "hunting".

Kira wasn't exactly fond of creatures. She disliked animals, except phoenixes and unicorns and adorable little puppies, and absolutely loathed bugs. Especially bugs with more than six legs. She considered declining the girl's offer, but wondered about water fairies. They weren't actually animals, nor bugs, and she's never exactly seen one up close before. Perhaps it'd be enjoyable looking for water fairies. It would be quite an experience if they actually did manage to find one.
Kira nodded her head.
"I guess I could join you. It's not like I have anything better to do anyway. . ." She trailed off. It was true, Kira was basically done for the rest of the day. Plus, going fairy hunting could be a good excuse not to go back to her dorms filled with her noisy roommates.
"Do you know how they look like? Are you planning to catch one? If so, how?" Kira lightly tilted her head in question, her habit of asking too many questions beginning to show. Kendra smiled with enthusiasm as Kira accepted her invitation. The blonde girl didn't seem too intrigued by what Kendra intented to do but appeared to at least be curious enough to ask questions about it. "Follow me and I'll tell you everything." Kendra said as she lead the way towards the spot she had a strong feeling she would find fairies at.
As they walked she began explaining her plan to Kira. "So I have all these..." she opened her bag to show her "It's glitter, perfume, crystals and small pieces of delicious cake." she explained. "My plan is to lure the fairy in and see if she wants to come with us. I read that fairies enjoy being decoration for wizards! I know it sounds a little bad but in any case, I don't think it nesessarily has to be that way." she made a small pause catching her breath. "I have no idea how they look to be honest, but I am pretty sure I would know a fairy if I see one, they don't exactly hide their fancy nature anyways!"
