Finally, on her 11th birthday, shortly after, she received a letter and an unexpected visit from a strange man. The man told her that Liyyu was a witch. A joke! Mr. Li thought. However, Liyyu quietly observed the visitor—was he really a wizard? Mr. Li almost threw him out while he was explaining Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, until the man demonstrated real magic.
They were stunned. Liyyu, strangely enough, did not feel scared at all by what she saw. The visitor explained that all the strange incidents Liyyu had experienced were actually magic. Liyyu felt a surge of excitement within herself, although part of her still thought it made no sense. Her parents had always dismissed these incidents, always searching for the most logical explanation. But this time, everything was finally explained. Both Mr. Li and Mrs. Li had no choice but to believe it.
Learning that the wizarding world existed made Liyyu very excited, but she could not tell her friends. After all, who would believe that magic exists in the real world? In the end, she simply told them that she would be studying abroad.

The first sign came when she was eight. While helping clean house, a rat ran toward her. Startled, she jumped back, but instead of falling, she hovered before landing safely. She was confused and amazed. Her parents rushed over, trying to convince themselves it was a trick of light or coincidence. After that, strange incidents became more frequent.
