Heading out
Anne had just arrived at King Cross Station. It was not that far away from her home. She was accompanied by both her parents and her brother. They all wanted to see what they had been missing for so many years. None of them were magical. Anne was the first and only from her family to go to Hogwarts. Or at least she didn't know anyone from her family who had been there before her.
As she entered the station she was looking around where she had to go. Finally, Anne identified platform nine and ten. "The person who came home told us to walk straight into a wall. I think it's that one right?" She told her family.
"Yeah, I think it's that one. Test it out. We'll go right behind you." Her father told her.
Anne did as she was told. She went straight for the wall. Surprisingly, she was able to pass it. She felt astonished. There were a lot of kids there. She noticed the sign that said 9 3/4. The train so called the Hogwarts Express was enormous and very long. Then, her family crossed over the wall and they all gasped at the sight of the train.
"So this is it" Anne said. "It looks amazing."
"Oh honey, you sure you'll be okay? It's a whole new school. And that magic thing just sounds unreal." Anne's worried mom told her.
"Calm down mom. Everything's going to be okay. I can assure you." Anne replied
"You gotta write us letters. I wanna hear all about it. It sounds so cool!" Her brother chimed in.
Then a man started calling out that the train would soon be leaving and telling all the passengers to come aboard quickly. Anne gave her family one last hug and again reassured them that she would be fine. Then, she excitedly hopped onto the train as a long whistle sounded. Anne waved back at her family with a great smile on her face. Then turned around and started to work herself down the train's corridor.
