New Favourite Place
The first week end arrives for Elowyn, and she finally had a chance to properly explore the castle. It was slightly warm out, so she decided to head down to the lake to read a bit. The walk to the lake was peaceful, even with all the student chatter. Stopping at the lake Elo took it all in. The lake was obviously beautiful, shimmering in the sun, ripples where creatures swam, but she also noted the students around. Some studying, other skipping rocks, and some just enjoying the view. She found a tree that no one else was at and sat down, still just looking at the lake. She loved to just be outside in the fresh air.
The day passed before Elo even realised. She broke up her reading by looking at the lake, seeing various creatures appear from the water’s surface. She ever saw a giant squid tentacle. She was so enthralled in her book and the view that she completely missed lunch, and it was only when a fellow Hufflepuff mentioned that time to her that she decided she should probably go to dinner. She knew that the great lake would end up being her favourite spot.
